  1. definetely competitive score and also non-IT would help your case as well.
  2. LOR should be in sync with your overall application. ex: if you talk a lot about leadership in essays and the recommendation doesnt even mention any parts of leadership then its not good. To say the least, leadership and teamwork should be highlighted in the LOR coupled with some achievements. Excellence is not something that could be elaborated in LOR unless related to some innovative ways you did something etc but it depends on the job you are doing.
  3. You are assuming that y is an interger - but this is not given -- y could be 0.1 and 2y-1 = -0.8
  4. st 1) dont know about x .. insuffient st 2) x = 1-y if y if y>=1 then no insufficient combining we know that y>0 but we dont know if y=1 E
  5. z² - 4z > 5 z² - 4z -5 > 0 (z-5) * (z+1) > 0 .. either both expressions are greater than 0 or both expressions are less than 0 so z-5 > 0 & z+1 > 0 OR z-5 z>5 & z>-1 OR z z> 5 OR z E fits the criteria
  6. answers are given as boxed numbers, so you need to apply the rules given in the equation for the answers as well.
  7. If I understand the question correctly, you need to take the maximum scores for individual persons to get teh difference of maximum scores. Let P3 have max score: 630 - 750 Let P1 have min score: 500 - 550 R = 750 - 500 = 250 in the above example, R = 750-550 = 200 here 500 is the minimum score .. we are not asked about the ACTUAL range but just he difference between range of maxmum scores and minimum scores
  8. m>0, n>0 is (m+x)/(n+x) > m/n st 1) m m/n is always positive and but x could be positve or negative and if x is negative, then i can get different numbers such that one of m+x is negative and n+x is positve nad the expression of LHS is negative which canot be greater than RHS. not sufficient st 2) x>0 .. as all expression are positive, we can multiple and reduce the equation to x *(n-m) > 0 x> 0 but we dont know if n-m > 0 not sufficent combing x>0, n-m > 0 .. sufficient C
  9. x > 0 , is x>3?? st 1) (x-1)^2 > 4 x-1 > 2(for other expression x will come as negative x > 3 sufficient st 2) (x-2)^2 > 9 x-2 > 3(for other expression x will come as negative x > 5 sufficient D
  10. st 1) either one of the expression can be zero st 2) either one of the expression can be zero combining we can find out that 3r+2-s = 0 Ex: (x-1) * ( x-2) = 0 here for x=1 and x=2 the expression is 0. so to find out only one value of x, we need to get a second equation to find out.
  11. from the figure we need to find out angle PRS - angle PQR in traingle PQR, angle PQR + angle PRQ + angle QPR = 180 also angle PRS + angle PRQ = 180 so angle PQR + angle QPR = angle PRS (ouside angle is same as sum of other inside angles) angle PRS - angle PQR = angle QPR -- I (need to find angle QPR) st 1) angle QPR is given. Sufficient st 2) angle QPR can be calculated using the other 2 angles in the traingle. Sufficient D
  12. min score is 500 and max is 750 Person 1, range is 50, minimum score can be 500 to 700 and max score can be 550 to 750 Person 2, range is 80, minimum score can be 500 to 670 and max score can be 580 to 750 Person 3, range is 120, minimum score can be 500 to 630 and max score can be 620 to 750 possible maximum range of scores could be when person 3 has max score of 750 and person 1 max score is 550 = 200 possible minimum in the above case is 630-500=130 difference = 70 B
  13. Mean = 21 , SD = 6 1 SD below mean = 15 2 SD below mean = 9 number of hours of Pat watching telivision is between 9 and 15 D
  14. 9 * 6 (with given parametes = 3 * 9 * 3 = 81 as answers are given in box, we need to find out which values its is .. box 27 = 27 * 3 = 81 D
