  1. Hi all, I have rescheduled my GMAT for the second time today and i feel really weird today... I called the GMAT Prometic assoication this morning...and as it was my second time to reschedule the GMAT...that's why I expected them to ask me for my credit card number and detail before I hanged up the phone...however, after I told them which date I would like the exam to be rescheduled to...the lady in the Prometic said goodbye to me...I was shocked...as I was expected to pay the USD 50 by my credit card! Afterwards, I called my bank (as I have done another rescheduling last month) and I found that they still didn't debit my money... So, i am very confused now...I dont know if the reschedulings were done...(although I have received the email confirmations from them for both times)...I still do not feel very comfortable... Anyone here in this forum has ever come across this??? Please share your experience with me. Thanks, MSCFung P.S. I wish all of u goodluck!
  2. Hi all, I have just received my Aug's result, I got 45 for my first attempt. I am extremely sad and I dont know what to do. I am living in Singapore and I need to use English on daily basis to communicate with my colleagues. I spent a few weeks (one hour a day) to study for the exam...and I didn't feel nervous on the exam day. I am very frustrated and I do not know what could I do next?! I just understand that I am a very big loser... I am very unhappy and I dont know what should I do?! I dont know if I will have the intelligence the pass the exam in future...Or, should I just forget my plan for applying to the PhD program? Should I apply for rescorling? Or, should I just apply for another exam? I have completely lost my direction. Big Loser, MSCFung
  3. Hi all, I am MSCFung. I have finished my 1st attempt yesterday in Singapore. Well, I do think that 60 seconds are not enough for speaking...For me, 8 out of the 9 questions, i didn't have enough time to respond...really worrying about the results... I am thinking about register for the Nov's test...as I will not know whether I will pass the Aug's test...but I really dont know what should I do? Can anyone give me any idea if i should register for Nov's test? I really cannot estimate my Aug test's result... Really do not know what to do...as u guys know: it isn't that cheap to take and retake the test all the times... Dont know what to do???!!! Worrying...:( :( :( Best of luck for all you guys, MSCFung
  4. Hi all, I am MSCFung...and I am going to take the test on 20 August. Well, I have been practised for 2 months already...(of course, just on and off...not every day, I practise... I think I am quite familiar with all types of questions... HOWEVER, I found my friend to do a demo of exam with me (she found some graphs, some comics in the web and trying to imitiate the exam with me)... My performance was simply very very very bad...for some questions...I even could not say anything...as I was simply too nervous...and I could not use any of the vocabrary...and of course, none of the thing I said had the structure... I am now very sad...as I could not understand what happened...I live in Singpapore and I need to use english every day... I am very very very nervous...and I dont know what to do...the test is coming in a week's time. Anyway, best of luck to all of you! MSCFung:( :( :( :( :(
  5. Hi, I am going to have my first attempt on 20 August...(scary~~nervous :(( ). I have started to prepare for the test by using the ETS sample question (that I printed out from the ETS official website!) Now...I have a couple of questions about the format of the test...and i hope someone here could answer them for me: 1. Is the exam paper that we are going to receive on the exam date similar to that ETS sample question paper? If yes, then does it mean actually, when we are reading the pictures for question 1,we could also read the other questions? If no, then...will we have a question paper? or all the questions are actually in the tape (meaning that we only listen and then..speak? 2. For the pictures questions...should we use present tense or should we use past tense to describe the pictures? 3. For the chart question...I think I have problems in describing the trend showing in the graph...and I get very nervous whenever I look at the graphs! I would like to know if you guys have any suggestions for me... Thank you very much for you guys' help! Best wishes, MSCFung

  10. Hi all, I am MSCFung, living in Singapore. I am going to have my first attempt for TSE on 20 August. Anyone here also taking the exam in August? Let's get together and support one another. Best regards, MSCFung :)
  11. Hi Jack Rose, Thanks. OK, I am going to buy your book as I think it's the only material which is up-to-date. I'm wondering if credit card is the only mean to pay for the book. As I dont really want to post my detail online. Would you please advise. Regards, MSCFung

    please help

Hi guys, I am new to this forum (actually, I have posted another thread here today: concerning the Jack Rose's book). Actually, as I have never taken this exam before, that's why I don't really know what is the difficulty in this test). I am living in Singapore and I use English on daily basis. Could anyone here share with me about their experience in this exam? Where are you guys from? Do u use English on daily basis? Please advise and thanks for your help! MSCFung
  13. Hi all, I am going to take the August's exam. This is going to be my first attempt. Now I am in trouble in finding study material for the exam. I tried to surf the net, and it seems to me that there are only a few books (CD) about the TSE exam. Anyway, I am considering to buy Jack Rose's study material as it's more up-to-date. So, did any of you ever order Jack Rose's book online? Is it secured to buy the book online? How many days does it take for the book to arrive to you? (I am living in Singapore!) Anyone has any comment on this book? And anyone has any suggestion on which book/study material I should buy? Please help! Thank you very much! Regards, MSCFung
  14. I have tried 2 times already. First time: 490 (Preparation: 3 weeks, around 1-2 hours per day) Second time: 540 (Preparation: 1 month, around 3 hours per day) But I need at least 600... I am going to have my 3rd attempt in 2 months...I really wish that I could succeed this time... Actually, i know why i could not score better...it's becoz I thought that the more practise I did, the better... However, I spent very less time to review all my mistakes...I think it's the reason why I could not learn. I am really very nervous...I dont want to fail for the third time...I really need some supports from you guys!
