    conversion of percentage to gpa

    hi
    i completed my high school in 2004 from india
    at present i'm in usa on a green card
    my average % for 4 years of high school is 76%.i have been ranked by my principal in the top 20% of the students among 50 students
    i am planning to take admission in undergraduate engineering this spring
    can u tell what my gpa is?

    This isn't the right forum to ask this question; but a 76% would be around a 2.5-2.7

    I thought percentages in India are different, and that a 60%-100% is some form of an A?... or am I just being weird?...
