So I have an average profile in terms of GPA / projects taken but have a work ex of 1.5 years (working with an industry leader in WiFi security). Hello, I am a Finance major, Math minor applying for a Phd program in Finance or Economics. I have a 3.80+ GPA; I am involved in undergraduate research and I am also working on my honors thesis. I just took my GRE and I am hoping to score 800 in Math but my verbal reasoning score will not exceed 600. I hope to get into one of the top 30 program but I do not know what universities are within my reach. If someone could guide me through this dilemma, I would be grateful.

I am an international student in the United States. I am currently a junior majoring in mathematics and economics in top 50 liberal arts colleges in the Northeast and I would like to pursue my studies in economics for FALL 2012(PHD) :D I am about to start my senior year next fall and I have been a decent student. My CGPA is 3.5/4 and I have taken a bunch of economics and mathematics courses. I will list them after.I am optimistic that I can get a high GRE score on the quantitative section ( 760 and up) and I can get good letters of recommendations. I would like to know if you could evaluate my chances in getting into good phd programs in economics in the United States. I have not done any economics research yet but I have a strong interest for econometrics and Macroeconomics. I am not overly concerned with rankings( top 30-80 will be fine for me ) but I would like to get into good phd programs in Macro and/or Econometrics. Which universities could I realistically get admission into assuming I do well in my Real Analysis and Advanced Linear Algebra classes next fall?

I'm in at UC-Denver as well as UNCG ($), while still waiting to hear back from Northeastern. After getting my MA I'd like to work in the public or private sector in labor, health economics or consulting (i.e. - Dept of Labor, Abt Associates or RTI to name a few). Is there a discernible difference between these 3 schools? UC-Denver seems to place marginally better than UNCG and Northeastern, while Northeastern may have a slight brand advantage. However, UNCG seems to be the most generous when it comes to funding. I'm leaning heavily towards UNCG, but wanted to get some other opinions before making my final decision.

Hello, I gave my GRE yesterday, and i have got a score of 1370 . 730 - Quant and 640 - Verbal. Yet to give my TOEFL. Presently i have a GPA of 9.85 / 10. (presently in final year of engineering). Had been a part of a prestigious Student-Satellite Project. Have done internship at Raman Research Institute.(for 2 months) Have given several paper presentations on MEMS and Nano-Fabrication. Academically i have scored distinctions in my lower classes as well.(10 th and 12 th grade) Have won several inter/intra collegiate level Technical as well as Cultural events. Have been conferred with Merit certificates and Scholarships in the past as well. And in the recently held Graduate aptitude test of Engineering(GATE) i have got 96 percentile. and a few more accomplishments... I request you all to please provide your suggestions regarding the Universities where i have a good chance o getting admitted...!!!!
