  1. I am preparing for IELTS, and since all centers are closed due to COVID-19 I can not get my writings assessed (I do not find online teaching comfortable). I have written this essay and I wonder if someone here who has experience in IELTS can assess it for me: QUESTION: Nowadays celebrities are more famous for their glamour and wealth than for their achievements, and this sets a bad example to young people. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? MY ANSWER: Celebrities are being widely well-known all around the globe. They gain their reputation essentially from being prosperous and chic. This essay will discuss whether they deserve their publicity or not, in addition, it will debate the influence of celebrities on young people. ------------------------------------------------- It is no arguing that lights are being shed on celebrities such as actors and singers more than any other group of people, even scientists, and writers, although they do have a great impact on our lives. So, celebrities may have a greater role in forming young people personalities. Hence, young people may grow up believing that it no problem to judge a book by its cover. Since they always see famous people being treated well due to the cars, jewelry, and the money they own, regardless of their ethics and moral values. Despite some celebrities are good and do purposeful work, others do not have a message to work for, which makes it hard for families to persuade their children that living without a target is a bad thing. ----------------------------------------------------- Looking at our society nowadays leads us to an obvious result, in youth society, the former is working hard in science-related fields but have a fear of not achieving what the celebrities have, the latter is taking famous people as their models without realizing how they affected our society. Not only do young people take them as examples, but also, they simulate what is being shown in movies no matter how bad it is. For example, if an adolescent watched their best actor in a scene that contains violence, he or she will imitate it unthinking of it. Because they believe that their model is good and do not do bad activities. ------------------------------------------------------- To sum up, this essay outlined the position of celebrities in our community today and showed up what they represent in young people lives. In my opinion, there should be rules and principles to organize the work and the appearance of celebrities. This would help us create a conscious generation that can contribute to helping our world to progress. (343 words) Thanks!!
  2. It is generally accepted that families are not as close as they used to be. Give some reasons why this change has happened and suggest how families could be brought closer together. Include any relevant examples from your experience. It is a common debate that families are not much connected now as they used to be some years ago. Many things have attributed to this change that we see in this modern era. Let us establish the reasons why this change has occurred and what can be done to develop the strong bonding between the families. To begin with, talking about the reasons which led to this issue. Mainly, its the technology and specifically the mobile phones and the computers. People are so much connected virtually now that they forget the presence of people around them especially at homes. Most of their free time is spent either watching television, surfing on the internet or chatting with their friends. In addition to that, because of the long working hours, parents are at work whole day. They get back home so tired that they prefer to sleep rather than giving time to their families. There are a number of solutions which can solve this problem. First of all, the major responsibility lies with the parents. They should educate their children about the importance of strong bonding with their family members because it is your family that stands with you through thick and thin. Secondly, they need to take time out of their busy work routines to spend time with their children. This will help in developing the bonding between the family members. To sum up all of the above, being distant from your family emotionally is bringing more negative outcomes instead of positive. We need to take appropriate measures to overcome this problem because family is a source of strength in our lives.
  3. Q) Being a celebrity such as famous film star or sports personality – brings problems as well as benefits. Do you think that being a celebrity brings more benefits or problems? Ans) Celebrities are most popular icons in the world. Getting a celebrity status is not an easy job. The person who achieves highest level among all people by hard work known as celebrity. Undoubtedly, the famous people have gained lots of benefits that common man doesn’t gain. Although, some society individuals think that famousness brings lot of downsides to the people, I believe that it brings innumerable number if benefits such as money and social status. Celebrities are gaining lots of money in and around the work. They can earn lots of money with less amount of period compared to common people who are living in community. For example, Dhoni, A famous and popular Indian cricketer has gained 20000000 dollars money for an advertisement that he acted for a famous worldwide company. This was happened because of his fame in sports. This amount is not equivalent to a common school teacher whose pay is far less than him. It is clear that being a celebrity would have positive effect in their life and this is one of the two reasons that person can get as a celebrity. High level social status, the celebrities has acquired than a normal people. Celebrities are role models, they can motivate the people towards their success. For Instance, Amitabh Bachan, A famous well known person and popular Indian star has gained high status, by administrating a lot of shows and involved in many social activities. In conclusion, celebrities such as famous people have a lot of benefits such as economically sound and high level status. Therefore, I strongly believe that, being a famous personality people has got immense amount of advantages than a drawbacks. It is better said that if celebrity spends the money towards society growth.
  4. TOPIC: The use of illegal drugs, such as heroin and cocaine, are becoming more and more common in many countries. What are some of the problems associated with drug abuse, and what are some of the possible solutions? ANSWER: In some nations, more and more people are using illegal addictions like heroin and cocain. The following paragraphs look at some of the risky problems caused by those drugs and recommend some attainable solutions to those issues. Using illegal drugs, especially heroin and cocaine, can result in many perilous social applications. Some of them are: health problem, high crime and poverty ratio, low proportion in generations of the workforce and many more. For instance, if mentioned medicines are used too much, the users will probadly be suffered from illness, cough, cancer or even death and so on. As a result, the rate in generational workforce can be decreased, this can make the country's economy in critical condition. Furthermore, people addicted to those addictions will soon have no money to pay for the costs of drugs. This leads to high poverty and crime rate as poor ones can become thieves or murderers. Thus, employing those medicines above can lead to unexpected subsequences to societies. However, there are many steps which can be taken to tackle those problems caused by illegal drugs. Firstly, the governments should ban the use as well as the production and business of those dangerous drugs. Secondly, people using them should be isolated from others or put in prisons. Moreover, medical treatments for consequent deseases should be made so that the users can certainly be in healthy condition. In conclusion, drug abuse is seriously a perilous issue as it has negative impacts on human. Hence, societies should do something possible to prevent and diminish this problem. Words: 258
  5. People are eating a variety of foods these days which encourages the flow of food from every corner of the world to a local supermarket. Do you think this is negative or positive development? Why? As a consequence of the globalization, it is normal to have products from every part of the world. Indeed, our multicultural societies are demanding it and we are accepting it without complaining because we take advantage on it. From my viewpoint, the growth of international food has both positive and negative developments. Nowadays, people can get to know different products from abroad coming from several cuisines like Far East cuisine. Indeed, people do not need to travel to foreign countries in order to experience new tastes. They can buy the foreign products they want in the local supermarket. Furthermore, currently people can eat products out of their specific season. They do not need to wait to a specific time to eat products from that period. For instance, we can eat tropical fruits during all year because tropical countries are producing in more quantity to export them to the entire world. However, there are also drawbacks that people should be conscious about. For example, supermarkets and retailers may buy cheaper products to international producers instead of purchasing those products to national producers. If retailers and supermarkets buy local products, they will improve their own country’s economy and it will avoid future economical problems. Adding to this, several products produced in foreign countries are produced under undignified and underpaid job, without job quality and job conditions being supervised and controlled. In conclusion, having products from around the world is not only good for global economy but also is good for individuals’ taste because they have more choice of products to try. Nevertheless, people must be awareness that local products are also good (even better sometimes) and those products might help improving local economy. (281 words)
