1. I am preparing for IELTS, and since all centers are closed due to COVID-19 I can not get my writings assessed (I do not find online teaching comfortable). I have written this essay and I wonder if someone here who has experience in IELTS can assess it for me: QUESTION: Nowadays celebrities are more famous for their glamour and wealth than for their achievements, and this sets a bad example to young people. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? MY ANSWER: Celebrities are being widely well-known all around the globe. They gain their reputation essentially from being prosperous and chic. This essay will discuss whether they deserve their publicity or not, in addition, it will debate the influence of celebrities on young people. ------------------------------------------------- It is no arguing that lights are being shed on celebrities such as actors and singers more than any other group of people, even scientists, and writers, although they do have a great impact on our lives. So, celebrities may have a greater role in forming young people personalities. Hence, young people may grow up believing that it no problem to judge a book by its cover. Since they always see famous people being treated well due to the cars, jewelry, and the money they own, regardless of their ethics and moral values. Despite some celebrities are good and do purposeful work, others do not have a message to work for, which makes it hard for families to persuade their children that living without a target is a bad thing. ----------------------------------------------------- Looking at our society nowadays leads us to an obvious result, in youth society, the former is working hard in science-related fields but have a fear of not achieving what the celebrities have, the latter is taking famous people as their models without realizing how they affected our society. Not only do young people take them as examples, but also, they simulate what is being shown in movies no matter how bad it is. For example, if an adolescent watched their best actor in a scene that contains violence, he or she will imitate it unthinking of it. Because they believe that their model is good and do not do bad activities. ------------------------------------------------------- To sum up, this essay outlined the position of celebrities in our community today and showed up what they represent in young people lives. In my opinion, there should be rules and principles to organize the work and the appearance of celebrities. This would help us create a conscious generation that can contribute to helping our world to progress. (343 words) Thanks!!
 2. Hi, everyone! Here I would like to share some strategies for IELTS speaking exam , that i have use to improve my IELTS score. 1) For Part 1: Keep your answers short and simple - just one or two sentences long. 2) For Part 2: As you're speaking, don't answer the bullet points one by one by one. Instead, focus on giving a complete description of the event, person, item, or whatever it is, and the bullet points will be answered anyway. Give as many specific details as possible. Also, do not try to use "complicated" or "difficult" grammar and vocabulary or your speaking could sound strange and non-native. 3) For Part 3: Your answers should be about 3-4 sentences long. Think of your Part 3 answer like a paragraph! Say your answer clearly, explain it, and then give a specific example.
 3. IELTS test fee has been revised to INR14000 for registrations from 1st April '20 onwards. The revised fee for IELTS for UKVI is INR 15,100 (Fifteen Thousand One Hundred only) (inclusive of all taxes) and Life Skills is INR 13940 (Thirteen Thousand Nine Hundred and Forty only) (inclusive of all taxes) for all test dates 7th April 2020 onwards. source : IELTS Exam Fees in India 2020 - IELTS IDP Thanks
 4. In India, the fee is Rs.13250, payable at the time of registration. The IELTS test fee in India differs as per the test type. Please refer below table for detailed information on IELTS test fees:

Test Type Cost (INR)

Computer-delivered IELTS 13250

IELTS for UKVI 13850

Life Skills 13850

Pen and paper based IELTS 13250

5. IELTS has recently introduced computer-based IELTS tastes in few countries. In India IDP has come up with Computer-based IELTS exams in centers like Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore etc. In my opinion, IELTS computer-based would have some edge over the paper-based exams. Few of them are listed below: Result: computer-based IELTS have 4–5 days time span to declare result compared to 13–14 days in paper-based IELTS. Writing Module: for a computer savvy person who has good typing speed as compared to writing, will have an advantage. Because most of the immigrant applicant has stayed away from papers due to the work culture. They would be better off typing than writing on the paper. Also, people who have bad handwriting would be advocated to write on computers. Reading and Listening: few of the question types will simply have options to drag which will save some time. less crowded examination center: computer-based IELTS is recently started so there are not many applicants available on the same day mostly there would be 5–25 aspirants. which makes it comfy and convenient writing exams unlike paper based which seems to be chaos with 200–300 aspirants together writing exams. flexibility: Computer-based Ielts has flexibility and availability all around the month. As compared to paper-based IELTS which used to happen 2–3–4 times in a month, computer-based IELTS can be written more than 15–20 times in a month. which reduces the headache of getting exams slots. Good option for immigrants looking for quick results.
 6. TOPIC: The use of illegal drugs, such as heroin and cocaine, are becoming more and more common in many countries. What are some of the problems associated with drug abuse, and what are some of the possible solutions? ANSWER: In some nations, more and more people are using illegal addictions like heroin and cocain. The following paragraphs look at some of the risky problems caused by those drugs and recommend some attainable solutions to those issues. Using illegal drugs, especially heroin and cocaine, can result in many perilous social applications. Some of them are: health problem, high crime and poverty ratio, low proportion in generations of the workforce and many more. For instance, if mentioned medicines are used too much, the users will probadly be suffered from illness, cough, cancer or even death and so on. As a result, the rate in generational workforce can be decreased, this can make the country's economy in critical condition. Furthermore, people addicted to those addictions will soon have no money to pay for the costs of drugs. This leads to high poverty and crime rate as poor ones can become thieves or murderers. Thus, employing those medicines above can lead to unexpected subsequences to societies. However, there are many steps which can be taken to tackle those problems caused by illegal drugs. Firstly, the governments should ban the use as well as the production and business of those dangerous drugs. Secondly, people using them should be isolated from others or put in prisons. Moreover, medical treatments for consequent deseases should be made so that the users can certainly be in healthy condition. In conclusion, drug abuse is seriously a perilous issue as it has negative impacts on human. Hence, societies should do something possible to prevent and diminish this problem. Words: 258
 7. Hi, I am Sam. Currently I`m doing my PHD in Environmental Science. For couple of years I am working as a part-time trainer in different language training institute. Few months ago, I appeared for the IELTS exam and found it a very friendly test. However, there are thousands out there who have fear about this test. So, I decided to help and corroborated with my friend Sazzad to break that fear among IELTS candidates. 8. would you please get a grade out of 9 to my IELTS essay? i will be very appreciate if you correct errors. Writing Task 2 topic:Some people say that government should increase the tax on petrol in order to decrease traffic and pollution. Do you agree with this opinion? Explain the benefits and drawbacks. Nowadays the debate over whether or not government can reduce the contamination and traffic jam by getting more taxes from fuel, has sparked a great deal of controversy among people and scientists Although, others are of the opinion that indeed, it has some negative effects on economy, welfare and industries. The advantages and disadvantages of rising fuel prices will be discussed more. A very convincing argument in favor of increasing fuel price is that this strategy will decrease vehicles transportation that subsequently causes to reduce amount of emission fumes by cars and motorcycles. Cost of using private vehicle can be raised by more expensive fuel so, most of people will probably use public transportation and consequently traffic jam will be reduced. Moreover, increasing in fuel price can encourage academies, research institutes and companies to carry out more research on alternative fuels, renewable energies and vehicles performance and innovate more in these fields. Most of past’s inventions in vehicles and energy created when price had been increased like hybrid engines, solar energy and etc. On the other hand, fuel price rising can be an introduction to increase inflation rate. Because fuel use in all processes of manufacturing, maintaining, transporting and distributing of all kind of merchants. As a result, general price level increase and people purchasing power reduce. In addition, poor people’s welfare decrease intensely and most of peoples standard of living will be affected negatively. Moreover according to fundamental of Macroeconomics, fuel price has a strong relation with employment in an economy. Because when fuel price rises, industries benefits reduce and then they must lay off their workers to satisfy their stockholders. It seems the best solution to avoid negative impacts of fuel high price is that governments should impose an extra levy on private vehicles and industries that produce much more pollutants and spend this money to building new highways, roads and extend public transportation to reduce traffic. Finally, I believe governments can choose some more beneficial strategies than increasing fuel price to reduce contamination and traffic especially with controlling transportation via taxes and investing in urban infrastructure.
 9. If you're about to take the IELTS exam here's a great list of LAST MINUTE tips I always share with my students. They're simple, but I've watched too many students make mistakes with these in the exam, and as a result, fail to get the score they need. Always circle the instructions regarding number of words in your answer – they change throughout the exam. Notice the question number order on diagrams, flow charts and tables – this is the order you will hear the information. Use all available time to read the questions before listening. In section 1, 2 and 3 the listening is divided into 2 parts. You have about 20 seconds to prepare before you listen to the first part, and another 20 seconds before you listen to the second part. You then have 30 seconds to check your answers – if you feel confidant about your answers move on – get as much extra preparation time as you can. In section 4 you have to answer all 10 questions in one listening part so you really need to get ahead to prepare for this. When you transfer your answers to the answer sheet make sure you write the answer in the correct space – too many students have made mistakes here and lost all their points. If the answer is a letter (A, B, C etc.) make sure you write the letter not the actual word from the listening – another mistake so many students have made. If your answer is a name make sure the first letter is a Capital letter. When you read questions focus on the key words – underline them or circle them – this will help you concentrate on finding the right answer. For short answer questions or gap fills try to predict the answer, or at least think about the grammar of the answer, before listening. For multiple choice questions, and questions that require you to choose from a list, try to rephrasethe ideas or think of similar meaning vocabulary that you might hear. For multiple choice questions, if you hear something that tells you that one of the answers is wrong then put an X next to that answer – identifying wrong answers can help you find the correct answer. Remember, if you need a score between 6.5 and 7 you should aim to get the following proportion of correct answers: Section 1 (the easiest) 100% Section 2 100% Section 3 80% Section 4 (the most difficult) 50% So with all your hard preparation for the exam, don't forget these simple tips. One or 2 points can make the difference between achieving the score you need [clap] or having to take the exam again. :wallbash: Best of luck
 10. This is the part of the speaking exam where you are given 1 minute to make notes, and then you have to speak for 2 minutes without any questions from the examiner. My students always panic about this part of the speaking exam, and often struggle to speak for 2 minutes. Very often the reason for this is they don't spend the 1 minute preparation time usefully. You should try to make notes in this time that will remind you of things to talk about, as well as help you organise your talk logically. Another problem is that under pressure, my students fail to use interesting vocabulary and grammar. So they end up repeating basic words such as 'good' or 'bad'. The only way to solve these problems is to practice this part of the test again and again. You should also record yourself doing different topics. In this way you will notice when you use boring or interesting vocabulary, if you're making grammar mistakes etc. I've written a guide on how to do the speaking part 2 and recorded myself for my students. They tell me they find it very useful in class, so I've uploaded it to the speaking pages on my web site - take a look using the link here or use my main site address at the bottom. There are also lots of practice topics on my web page which you can download. Get practising and good luck.:grad: My IELTS Teacher
