What are the best practices when asking a professor at another institution to potentially become one of your dissertation advisors? What are the norms when it comes to working with a professor at another institution? Are there limits on what they can or should have to do? Thanks!

The best way to solve environmental problems caused by consumer-generated waste is for towns to impose strict limits on the amount of trash they will accept from each household The waste topic has been debated heavily over a long time period. However, in some countries, they have managed to make waste into valuable assets. For an example Germany. Therefore I personally believe, there are better ways to manage waste rather than imposing strict limits on the amount of trash from each household. Waste sorting is one of the most popular ways to manage waste. Sorted waste is gathered and they are sold to entities to recycle. The waste is sorted itself in households and they are kept in separate bins. When they are full, they are dropped at the specified places by the locals. Even though the process seems not hard, it is important to create that kind of mentality in locals. Because it cannot be done by imposing laws. Last year Holland and India started making roads out of recycled plastic which has 3 times durability than normal. Similarly, papers, glasses, rubber, bio items are recycled. It has become a trend to use recycled products because it is indeed environmental friendly. It is important to realize that the government should ban the things, which are not capable of reuse or recycle. And imposing limits to those things would be a good step certainly.
