Hello to all, Getting straight down to the point, I am keen for some advices about going into Ph. D program in Finance. To start with brief introduction of myself: - I graduated from UC Berkeley with BA in Economics - Decent GPA: Graduated with High Distinction - Lack research/thesis-related activities during undergrad - Took only few quantitatively-intense course: Linear Algebra, Intro Stat, Financial Engineering, and Econometrics - Intenational Student - Currently working at European Investment Banking firm (been approximately 1 year) in Seoul, Korea I am aiming to apply to top Ph. D programs (MIT, UPenn, Chicago, Columbia, etc.) this coming Winter. However, as I briefly mentioned about my current status in the above list, I am having some concerns, especially on the facts that 1) I lack research-related activities, and 2) I do not have a masters degree. Accounting that competition for entry into Ph D in Finance program is intense, I would like to ssek for some advices on the possibility of receiving the offer with my current situation. (Although I know that there are numerous variables that can affect the admission, I tried to make it simple) - Would it make a decent shot for me to directly apply for Ph. D in Finance or would it be closer to an absurd try? - Woulld it make more sense for me to apply for Ms. Fin and then try for Ph. D in Finance? Any detailed advises or suggestions will be very helpful and appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Hi everyone, I am a bachelor student in Physics and I am exploring my opportunities to pursue an Master's degree in Finance. I would like to know your opinions or advice on top graduate schools for Finance and/or Economics in Europe. I hope that your opinions/ advice can help me forward in making a good decision... Thanks in advance.:encouragement: Btw: Is anyone familiar with Barcelona GSE? I do not understand why Barcelona GSE does not appear in the rankings... It makes it difficult for me to form a good opinion on them.
