Problems are opportunities. This lockdown period could be the best time for most of us to pursue the laundry lists like reading books, listening to music, watching your favourite web series, movies and importantly pursing a skill. Medical Writing is a rewarding skill in today's digital health era. You may consider this phase as an opportunity to upgrade/hone your skills as a medical writer and explore new career avenues in healthcare. Read blog to learn how: bit.ly/2WWPr67

Hello! I am a recent graduate with a BSc in pharmacy from a foreign university (however, I am a US citizen). My goal is to apply direcetly to PhD programs in the US and pursue a career in academia. However, I've been accepted to a (one year) PharmD program at my alma mater and I have the opportunity to work at a hospital pharmacy, and now I'm facing a dilemma. I'm hoping that anyone with experience in or knowledge of applying to PhD programs would be able to help. Would completing a PharmD degree (in a foreign university) give me an advantage when applying for PhD programs? This would be compared to applying with just a BSc. Or would it be more beneficial for me to work at a hospital pharmacy during this year while I apply? Basically my question is if the PharmD versus work experience would be more favored by PhD admissions committees. Sorry for the long post, and I hope someone can advise me. Thank you!

Hi I am a pharmacy student (pharm.D) and now it's time for me to choose my thesis subject. These are the departments in my faculty that i can choose to work with: 1-Medicinal Chemistry 2-Pharmaceutical Biotechnology 3-Pharmaceutics 4-Pharmacognosy 5-Pharmacology and Toxicology 6-Pharmaceutical and Food Control 7-Clinical Pharmacy I want to study phd in the future and most of my friends chose to study phd in the field that their Pharm.D thesis was.And they told me that my thesis subject is very important for applying for phd. I want to study phd in another country (maybe north america or sweden) so i want you to help me choose a department that increases my chance of getting accepted. Thankyou

Am i eligible to take the FPGEE and my current status is F1 student ??? The other thing which im confused about is the difference between FPGEE certificate and PharmD. So is that mean, a FPGEE holder is equal in everything with PharmD holder???! Please help Kind regards,

Hi, my husband is a Korean pharmacist trying to either take the FPGEE or get a Pharm.D. in the States - or possibly some other related career (though right now we can't find one with a comparable salary). Is anyone out there Korean, and can give us information about applying for the FPGEE? We've heard there may be a possible exception to the "no 4-year-degrees-after-2003" rule for Koreans. We're also particularly interested in knowing how well the coursework in Korea prepared you for the test. Otherwise, the only options we can find are Pharm.D. programs of 3 years or more intense schooling again. If anyone knows schools that allow you to transfer in some of your actual pharmacy work (not just prepharmacy), any of that information would also b appreciated. Thanks for any help you can give. We really want to live in the States, but we have to make it work out for his career. Thanks!
