Hi all, Got accepted to both programs in economics. Barcelona offers tuition waiver and Tinbergen offers tuition waiver+1060 euros monthly stipend. Barcelona seems to be a more praised school but I have no idea what is the continuation ratio to UPF from there (which I would prefer). I have found scarce comments on Tinbergen but it is almost certain you can continue studying for PhD there if you perform well enough. Also they give enough to cover my living expanses, which is amazing. I am leaning towards Tinbergen but also I am very confused. I am particularly interested in studying econometrics (preferably applied). Any help and comments would be appreciated; I am in need of serious help!

I am waitlisted by the Tinbergen Institute. In their jargon it is the long list. I wonder how hard it is to be accepted from the long list. Any thoughts/experiences are welcomed.

Can anybody give me any tips considering which program might be better (Tinbergen Institute versus Bonn BGSE), assuming that both give funding to live. I'm interested in behavioral/experimental economics so this should also matter for me as well as future placements, class and the city itself. Thank you for your answers in advance!

Hi, I have been admitted to the Graduate Program in Economics of Carlos III (fully funded for the first year) and to the MPhil Program in Economics of Tinbergen Institute (not funded). :encouragement: I am very happy, but now I am not sure what to do: I have read that the admission to the second part of the program (the real PhD )in Carlos III is quite difficult, while in Tinbergen should be a bit easier. However, I am a bit concerned with the funding issue. What would you suggest? Thank you for your help!
