( I hope I have posted my question at correct place )
I didn't do any of the actual programming for the site, but parts of it are written in ASP, others in PHP.

The text filters you see in this thread work only in Internet Explorer, as they're built in to IE. Here's a good page about MSIE text filters.

I can make new tags, but the browser needs to recognize them, so pretty much anything that can be done with HTML can be added. Did you have a certain tag in mind?

Gimme some days for tags, I want to contribute too.
I was thinking of 3D smileys just like Yahoo chat has incorporated in its latest version. Another idea is to incorporate sound ....that will look more real and interactive.

I see why it does not work in Netscape. Can the effect of tags used be repeated for Netscape?( site written in JSP )

'HTML Goodies" is indeed a good site. "HTML Primer" is good too.

Not sure about that, but probably not. I've seen some modifications that allow users to post Flash avatars, but those two I haven't heard of.

Can I test my own tags at TM? Is there a seperate area for this ?
I mean writing my own code and testing by incorporating it in TM. I am talking about my imaginations as given in post#12 .

No, users can't add their own tags, unfortunately. But if you have something in mind, I can consider it. I haven't seen the new Yahoo chat, so I'm not sure what that would look like. Maybe I'll download it to check it out, though.

    (Sorry for replying so late...)
