I don't think I'm the only person who has trouble speaking impromptu in a foreign language, especially when time is so limited.
That's why I ask everyone who has passed through it to share valuable strategies (how to organize an answer within these time limits, what phrases to use to produce a better impression to markers, and so on) with us.
    Thank you in advance.

P.S. I'm taking my test on March, 2nd

I guess the best way to succeed in the independent speaking task is to get familiar with the topics you may come accross, and to practice, A LOT. I'm studying with a private tutor; when you have a normal conversation it's far different from what you're going to do in the test. The first time I tried to answer a question in 45sec I panicked, but now, after practicing for three days it's not that impossible after all. I'm still scared of it, but I'm working up confidence day by day. So, get used to it and good luck!
My exam is scheduled in the 14th of March (and another one in the 26th of April, just in case! )

    Hi,

Have you actually found types of questions they can ask? I've downloaded a program which is called Toefl Ibt Speaking Conqueror. I definitely hope it will improve my skills )

I started speaking English with my parter who knows it very well but when I have to answer the question "What's your favourite plate?" (I'm exaggerating) and find something to say within 45 second I'm just panic-stricken

    Eleutheros, check this out:

    http://www.urch.com/forums/toefl-spe...one-place.html

another one which may be useful as well:

Conversation Questions for the ESL/EFL Classroom (I-TESL-J)

I also strongly recommend practicing by yourself (to the mic). It's the way you're going to speak during the test. And you can practice whenever you like.

Hope it helps, and good luck!

    Dear All!
I scheduled my TOEFL on March 14th. I am in Eastern Time zone (GMT -05:00) and I am wondering if someone who takes TOEFL around this date could share with the exam questions from Speaking and Writing sections.

    Thanks
