Because long is adverb of time and it is usually placed after the first aux. verb, I would guess C 3. not sure again A : nonsence because only + either can't be used together B : nonsence because first sentence would have to be negative here C : only ... instead Specially stores, unlike department stores, handle only one line of merchandise instead a limited number of closely related lines. D : unlike ... only ... or Specially stores, unlike department stores, handle only one line of merchandise or a limited number of closely related lines. I would guess D, it makes sence because in C the department stores have quite a number of related lines but the special stores (not specially) have one or a limited number. 4.
