Recommended Posts

Please help me out with this one:

This data will be real-time available to geologists anywhere in the world, and allow them to refine their geological models while drilling is in progress.

OR

This data will be real-time available to geologists anywhere in the world, allowing them to refine their geological models while drilling is in progress.

Thank you!!

The key focus for you should be the fact that there is a comma and conjunction. What comes after the ", and" should be a complete phrase. Ask yourself if this is a complete phrase:

"allow them to refine their geological models while drilling is in progress."

Since the answer is no, the correct response is the second choice. Hope this helps.
