therealslimkt
Decision* time, between the schools in the title. Interested in applied micro broadly, with some special eye towards market design, experiments and development. I value broad strength in applied micro over strength in any particular subfield since I'm not sure what subfield I want to do. * This is not strictly the decision problem as I've been waitlisted at Booth and Yale, but factoring them in will help me decide whether to press to get off the WL. Huzker
My sense is that Berkeley is great at labor, NW is great at mechanism design & development, everything at Yale will be structural. Not easy to pick a winner from these three. Not so sure about Booth.
eggnogone
I agree with Huzker and would lean either NW or Booth in your position. NW is underrated and strong in several areas of micro, including market design. Booth/Chicago also has solid applied micro and market design people. Yale to me doesn't seem like as good a fit for your interests.
