Yes, it's very quiet. Especially compared to the heyday of the 2000s!

I would like to make a run at reviving things over here; at this stage of my career, it'll be a labor of love. Well, it's actually always been that. But I'd really like to put in a few features to see where things go.

Erin, of course. That would be great. The 2000s were great. I also suspect people got more selfish. Maybe it's a generational shift? Imagine people would come here, get information and then refuse to post their outcomes and profiles later in the profile-result section.

Let's revive things back to the interesting, good days of the 2000s. In any way that oldies like us can assist, we shall be jocund to do so.

Any acceptances to Berkeley reported yet? Any ideas if they'll send out today?

From GC: "berkeley releases rejections in multiple rounds, then offers acceptances late February (like 20ish), so congrats on surviving the first round of rejections!"

Can anyone confirm interviews from Harvard business econ?

I received an interview invitation last week. I can’t speak for anyone else, but it seems like historically the interview invites all came out at once. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but best of luck with the rest of the admissions season!

Thanks for the information! Do you have connections to Harvard/MIT faculties?

Anyone got interview invitations from Managerial Economics & Strategy (MECS) from Kellogg?

Not related, but does anyone know somebody who has been accepted in their second option in the dual application of Northwestern? I've only seen comments of people claiming they were instantly rejected in their second option after the rejection on the first. Also, it seems kinda weird that they both have different application deadlines.

Anybody else think it’s kinda weird that UMD sends out an update email saying they will be sending the next round of acceptances 1/26 & 1/27, and then they don’t send any acceptances out today (1/26)?

Yes, it's incredibly frustrating. I'd honestly prefer that they didn't tell us about the timeline because I've been refreshing gradcafe and checking my email. "Ignorance is bliss"

SAME. At first I thought it was super cool of them to inform us of the timeline to prevent all of the speculation (ie when things would be released / have all admits been released / if I haven’t heard anything is it IR, etc.), but now I’m just annoyed lol

As a public service I decided to share with you my stress related data analysis. I scraped decision timing from GradCafe for 2006-2023.  Then I categorized the top 20-25 institutions and defined the decision date as the Mode of the rejection/acceptance date in a given year. Here are the main results:

1. Which day should we expect decisions? unsurprisingly, not on weekends.  somewhat surprisingly, mostly on fridays:

2. When should we expect decisions?  Apparently most top institutions have gotten better over the years and expeditated the timing of decisions by a bit. most results arrive by early march. Results in January are a rare recent phenomena.  (each dot represents an institution decision date, the boxes represents IQR and the line is from a LOWESS reg)

3. Decision timing by institution
