Two years ago, they tried to be very transparent, putting all accepted and waitlisted students in a single Slack group and treating them equally on the visit day. But it was during COVID though, so we had a virtual visit day. 7 hours ago, Facultoadviso said: My student interviewed with Oxford. Anyone else did this? I haven't heard of anything yet. Since they have a very late deadline, maybe they will contact many students in waves? Quote

WordLife Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 I'm seeing Northwestern rejections on GradCafe but I have received nothing. Is this just a first cut? Did they notify you by email or on the portal? Quote

sicko Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 (edited) same, and I’m noticing that a lot of the rejects in GC were sent to Kellogg — I wonder if this was them doing the people who put a second choice first so that Kellogg has more time. Edited February 2, 2024 by sicko Quote
cornerstone Posted February 5, 2024 Posted February 5, 2024 What about UCSC? They sent an email saying they might send an interview offer, but no one from gradcafe updated about the interview offer. Quote
H157 Posted February 5, 2024 Posted February 5, 2024 Typically I have seen only Yale releasing offers in this week the past few years, some release next week (like MIT Princeton) Quote
nordkette Posted February 5, 2024 Posted February 5, 2024 Maybe Michigan this week? They've released it in January for the last two years at least 1 Quote
dan_flashes_59 Posted February 5, 2024 Posted February 5, 2024 Can any confirm that Cornell Applied Econ came out? Seeing an acceptance in grad cafe Quote
BRecon Posted February 5, 2024 Posted February 5, 2024 Notre Dame scheduled a few interviews on Friday 2nd, according to Grad Café. After that, there is no other actualization. If I have not been contacted yet, and they claim to be interviewing candidates in early February, can I start to lower my expectations? What do you guys think? 1 Quote

I would like to make a run at reviving things over here; at this stage of my career, it'll be a labor of love. Well, it's actually always been that. But I'd really like to put in a few features to see where things go. A quick suggestion would be to reduce/update the pinned threads on the homepage. There's over an entire page of pinned threads, and this thread is buried on the second page. I thought the forum was dead because none of the threads on the first page had been updated in over a year. 3 Quote
himakun Posted February 5, 2024 Posted February 5, 2024 I don't understand there is just no words from Umich this year. It has been one of the first university to give results in January. Quote

It seems like Northwestern did the same thing. I imagine it’s common with schools where you can apply to multiple to get your first choice done early so your second choice has more time. Quote
