Great to see this thread started. The analogous thread last year had over 200,000 views!

One piece of advice...one of those things easier to say than to do. Don't take results personally. There is an enormous amount of randomness in the process. And, unfortunately, this looks to be a particularly tough admissions year as some schools have had to cut back on admissions.

Best of luck to everyone!

Congratulations on the interview. Best of luck!

@kojeve Do you know which Stanford program offered the interview?

Stanford Econ. I was told that Stanford arranged interviews for a randomized sample of shortlisted applicants. This is unverified information; if someone can verify, please do so.

Anyone hoping/expecting for results next week?

My prior is that admission committees will thread more carefully this year given the funding issues. I don't expect to hear anything until the first two weeks of February.

Is it a subset of shortlisted applicants, or all shortlisted applicants invited for an interview?

I think it is a subset. Although it will be hard to confirm regardless... the other non-interview shortlisted applicants will have no information on whether they were on the list.

For those who had the Stanford interview, what questions were asked? basic questions (why stanford etc) or a more serious interview?
