Nanna
Q-The pie chart below shows the main reasons why agricultural land becomes less productive. The table shows how these causes affected three regions of the world during the 1990s. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. The given pie chart and table provides the causes of low productivity of agricultural land and it's affect in North America, Europe and Oceania during the 1990s. Overall, it is seen that over-grazing was the major cause of land degradation by which Oceania was affected the most. However, maximum land degradation was observed in Europe. During the 1990s, over-grazing was the prime factor at 35% for deteriorating land. This was followed by deforestation and over-cultivation at 30% and 28% respectively. Also, other minimal causes contributed 7% to land damage. In Europe, 9.8% of damage to land was caused by cutting trees and 7.7% due to over-cultivation. Hence making it the most degraded land. The second most was Oceania, with over-grazing at 11.3% as the major concern. Also, here over-cultivation played no part in harming land. While, in North America it caused mere 3.3% with the lowest land degraded at 5 %.
