Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. *** please rate my essay*** Some people think that hiring employees for their lifetime is a good idea. I completely disagree with this idea because a business, in order to thrive and survive, needs to bring fresh minds and new ideas into the corporation. Moreover, hiring employees for their whole life will prevent the personal improvement of employees. Also, it can cause various social problems. First of all, on the business side, companies can thrive by young people who bring fresh ideas and perspectives into the work place. For companies with lifetime employment, it is difficult to dismiss workers with bad quality and hire creative workers. If a company has a lot of lifetime employees, it wouldn’t have enough positions to absorb new employees. Therefore, in the long term, it cannot compete with rivals and will be eliminated by competitive market. In addition, on the employee side, when employees believe that they have lifetime job, they don’t try to improve their skills. In this system, when people get a job, then they have a secure position that is guaranteed for their lifetime, so they become lazy and never like to increase their knowledge. Furthermore, hiring lifetime employees will undoubtedly increase various social problems. Many young people who graduated from college or university can not find a job because there aren’t new jobs opportunities available. Also, the increase in cost of production due to guaranteed employment may lead the whole country to lose competitive power. In conclusion, I think it is not a good idea to hire employees for their whole lives. A company in order to compete with its market rivals needs to hire new and motivate workers. Hiring lifetime employees is harmful for business and its employees. Therefore,it is harmful to the society too. Today’s modern society needs a flexible employment system instead of permanent one.
