Student visa -> Green card
Hi all, I've been wondering... If I am accepted to an American Uni and I get a student visa (probably F-1), can I initiate a green card process as soon as I land in the US? My father is an American citizen, so I believe I will be able to get a green card relatively fast (I understood 3 years is the standard waiting time for an unmarried son).

Is this possible? Will it endanger my student visa if I file such an application?
