Prometheus_Econ
I just got an email. IN with a fellowship. Check your mailboxes.
eager_applicant
so what's your preference now? I would assume not much has changed, but that's just because Caltech will guarantee excellent weather :)
Prometheus_Econ
My preference is very complicated at this point in time and not rationalizable by any reasonably behaved utility function:p. They offer an excellent package, and I would have access to many other resources there. They have excellent behavioral economists in various departments, they do computational economics (being in the same school as one of the best CS departments in the world), UPitt has joint seminars in experimental I think, and they have an excellent Stats Department, especially for Bayesian stuff. But Caltech is probably still at the top of my list right now. I want to fly out there and see what things are like.

apropos
Very impressive. CMU is one of the more selective programs. Very small and somewhat focused on its fields, sort of like Caltech. By the way, I keep checking my inbox, but I don't see any emails from CMU. Was I supposed to submit my application first?
