Anand Iyer
Ankit, I don't know much about the CS field, but here are my views: Very Ambitious: UCSD Texas A&M College Station Moderate: SUNY SB SUNY Buffalo UC Davis Michigan State Univ Univ of Illinois Chicago. I don't know about the rest. By the way, if you are looking for aid, then don't apply to NCSU - it is damn tough to find aid there. Also, UCSD offers only a terminal masters degree or a MS/PhD degree. That is, for the time being, you want to stop with MS, it might be difficult. I am not sure about the CS department, but ECE department works like this.

Anand Iyer
Can u pls also tell me wat u mean by terminal masters? I have'nt understood that.. Usually, a terminal masters means that you cannot go for a PhD later. The MS will not be much concentrated on research, but rather it will be an industry-oriented one. Furthermore is there a use in giving gre again..? I was hoping much more than wat I got.. How do the univ. view the two scores? Unless you are very sure that you can score much better than what you scored, I don't think there is any use of taking the GRE again. Most universities take the higher score. For wat prog r u applyin? have u given ur gre? I am applying for MS in Electrical Engineering, and am having GRE on October 31.
