This is my first essay, pls rate and comment in this one ...(its major flaws, discordant flow and so on)

The problems of modern society have led many people to complain: 'We live in terrible times.' Yet, given the choice, no one today would prefer to live in any other time."

 

Though we are rushing ahead towards the 21st century with the boon of technological benefits hand in hand, human life has not been so easy and comfortable as one really expects to. Technological advancement and competition in the market has not always turned to be prolific in nature. It also has turned out to be the provenance of hectic life, mental frustration, competition in the market along with the economic inflation.

 

 

The detrimental effect of technology has also slowly pervaded arousing threat to nature like ozone depletion, deforestation, global climate change. Proliferation of nuclear weapons amongst the rivals and the misuse of knowledge also has proved to be a threat to the existence of human race and the time has come wherein man made machine will dominate human beings, and machines will have control over humans. Such hallucination has led most of us to spectre the contemporary life as one of the most terrible one of all times and imprecate it &wish we were born ahead.

 

 

 

But when one looks on with a prospective view, the technological advancements; in every arena; though it be medical, entertainment, information technology; then no doubt, we are relishing the best moments of our lives and that of times. And also, the negative impacts that technology has put forth upon our lives is too miniscule apropos to its disadvantages. An innate-blind person can now enjoy the beauty of nature with artificial eyes, robots can replace industries and human beings no longer need to do menial works, advancement in the field of microbiology can now give birth to clones. People have been able to harness energy from natural sources like water, sun and enlighten the world. The technology has shrinked the world and one can communicate with the person sitting in the other corner of the world and even carry out video-conferencing via simple hand-held gadgets mobile phones, which can be purchased at the expense of few dollars.

 

 

When one takes all these into account, then needless to say, we still relish the modern life endowed with latest technologies and would rather prefer than any other times.
