shingivyas
There's a letter lock with 4 rings.. marked with 5 different letters. Find the maximum Number of Unsuccessful attempts made to open it???
hjafferi
i am assuming that each ring has 5 different combinations therefore the total number of possible attempts = 5*5*5*5 = 625. sucessful attempts would be 1*1*1*1 = 1 therefore 625-1 = 624 hence the maximum number of unsuccessful attempts would be 624. shingivyas
Jafferi... Total number of possible attempts = 5*5*5*5 = 625. sucessful attempts would be 1*1*1*1 = 1 therefore 625-1 = 624 hence the maximum number of unsuccessful attempts would be 624. This is if the letters on the ring differs nut what if the letters are same...

hjafferi
Shingivyas i looked at the letters as 5 options. therefore even if the letters are same there would still be five options
