Its not C i think for 2 reasons:

1. 'increasingly' is placed after the verb 'engage' which doesn't seem right

2. the use of 'significantly' only makes it wordy and is not really necessary

Thus option A satisfies both ther criterias

should it be "they are increasingly engaged in..."

the location of 'increasingly' give me a unclear picture. 'they increasingly are...' is grammatically correct?
