Ideas arise from individual

I wrote this piece of writing on the actual test timeframe, which means I wrote this for 45 min and am posting without any revision exept for spell checks. Would you make some comments and rating on my essay? It would be really helpful if you do that. Many thanks in advance.

Issue Topic: "Truly innovative ideas do not arise from groups of people, but from individuals. When groups try to be creative, the members force each other to compromise and, as a result, creative ideas tend to be weakened and made more conventional. Most original ideas arise from individuals working alone."

 

One of the most different characteristics that human beings are distinct from other animal species is probably the ideas that people bring in to their society. Ideas make the society better. Especially, those truly innovative and original ideas make society even better place to live. Some people think that those ideas are the result of working together as a group. However, most original and truly innovative ideas are from individuals working along.

 

Working along make a person thinks out side of the conventional ideas. There were many great historical figures that change the trends of their field with truly innovative ideas. For example, Einstein invented the special theory of relativity. So innovative was his ideas that most of other scholars at his time could not understand the special theory of relativity. He did not work on his theory with other physicists, but he developed it by himself. If he worked with other physicists when he first worked on the theory, then many other physicists must have been objected and told him to stop wasting his time working on such useless ideas. He could have been complied because he would not have enough information and concrete logic for it.

 

The problem in working with other people is that people tend to adjust themselves to what other people think. When groups of people work together for certain matter, people share their ideas with other people and ask what other people think. It is certainly great to hear other people’s opinion, but truly innovative ideas are almost always something that other people did or could not thought about. When a person brings up an idea which is not conventionally acceptable, what he or she could hear for his or her idea would be degrading the idea. The other people will work hard to say the idea is not valuable. Consequently, if the person who brought up the idea comply passively then the idea, whether it was truly innovative or not, would be disappear.

 

Some might say that individuals know not enough information so it is better off to work with other people who can provide more information about it. It would be necessary to know enough information about it. However, the idea is not solely dependant on how much people know about it. Once, those individuals have enough information about certain matter. It is more of thinking outside of the box, especially those ideas that are not conventional. Thanks to much technological advancement, people now can acquire enough information they would need without other people help. Therefore, people working as a group could cause more bad effect on the truly innovative ideas.

 

As we learn from the historical figures who brought the truly innovative and original ideas into the human society worked alone. It is necessary to acquire enough information from various sources. Once individuals acquire what is necessary, working alone certainly provide the person to think outside from what other people would think about their ideas. Thinking freely without thinking of other peoples' thinking will help individuals to have more innovative ideas.
