Hi, guys, I am new here.

Writing is really a bit hard for me, could you lend me a hand?

I will have my test on 4th, Sep.

Here it goes~~~

What's the use of art? Some one may argue that we can not produce rice and bread from art, we can not make our life more convenient by art. However, they forget the important character of art, the derivation of imagination and creation. Art should be given sufficient attention in all levels, especially when it comes to students' education.

"Every child is an artist, the problem is how to maintain one once grow up." This opinion, issued by a famous painter, Picasso, though dozens of years ago, still has its vitality. People all have a great sense of imagination once they are young, when they have no constraint while thinking. But with the time elapsing, individuals are taught with the same methods and materials and inevitably developed into the similar type. They are losing the ability to imagine, to create little by little. How can we solve the problem?

The answer is ART! Art is to express one's own opinion regardless what others want. There are no rules in art, only tools, which is different from other mainstream subjects. Students are given the same formulas, the same axioms to solve problems in mathematics and science. In the meanwhile some one may draw a sun just like a yellow pot, while another may just do the opposite. No one can tell which one is better, so creation arises. The students will pick up the ability to think for themselves, to express in his own way, and even to criticize the authority. how wonderful it will be!

What's more, some students will grow to love art, and choose art as their permanent career. They will make contributions to the society by a lot of means. They can compose beautiful music to relax people after they have worked for a long time, but most importantly, they record the deeper feelings and thoughts of the society. They observe the world with their eyes, they describe the world by their hands.

Without art, their will be no music, no drawings, no dance in the world. Life will be just like a glass of bland water, no taste, no smell. People will lose themselves in everyday life: they work hard day by day, struggle year after year, only to realize one day, they don't know what they are working for, what the essence of living, what is the real meaning of life.

Art is to keep the vitality of people, it is as important as mathematics, science, reading and other mainstream subjects to students' development. It helps to form a more healthy character, and what's more, teach children how to create. Art, as I have argued, should be given much emphasis as other mainstream subjects.

"The arts (music, dance, visual arts, etc.) are vitally important to students' education and should therefore receive as much emphasis as mathematics, science, reading and other mainstream subjects."

The speaker asserts that arts like music, dance and visual arts are vitally important to students education, and therefore should receive as much important as other main stream subjects like science and mathematics. Although I believe that music and art is a very good mean for one’s recreation and expressing emotion, I disagree with the notion suggested.

Admittedly, fine arts and performing arts like music, dance and visual arts are very effective in expressing complex feelings of human being. Also, it provides mean for recreation of body, mind and soul. For example, nowadays music is used as therapeutic mean for healing mental disorder and to expedite recovery. It suggests that individual should learn, or at least understand, such arts for one’s betterment.

The best time to learn such art is during formal education in progress. However, speaker overlooks the practical problems involved in doing so. First of all, one student can not learn, and it is sometimes not necessary, all the arts at the same time. The reasons are that different arts demands different ability to perform well, which is not possible to have in one individual, though exception occurs. On the other hand the main stream subjects demands only one faculty, the mental ability of individual, to perform well.

Secondly, as mentioned it is a mean for recreation, and it should be developed as a hobby rather than a study. It is more important for individual to enjoy art than merely knowing it academically, and so the inclusion of such art in a school curriculum would not serve the purpose. It would be good idea if school does introduce those arts as a hobby and then induce students to develop themselves.

In context of the situation I concur that although the fine arts are important for development of individual as a whole, and its advantage as mean of recreation and expression of one’s emotion,

it is not practical to introduce such subjects, with same emphasize, in schools.

Hi,

131 "The arts (painting, music, literature, etc.) reveal the otherwise hidden ideas and impulses of a society."

The arts, the conscious use of skill and creative imagination especially in the production of aesthetic objects including painting, music, literature and so on, influenced by the society and times. Therefore it has the obvious epochal and social character. Meanwhile, the art , in turn, reflects and revels the hidden ideas and impulses of a society.

Some one might point out the art, especially like the painting, illustrates the invidious artist¡¯s view on aesthetics more, However, all the creators are not isolated beyond the society and history. Consensually, theirs art works would taking the impulses of their times and society more or less with influences from the society which can not be neglected absolutely. After all, the aesthetics of every artist are cultivated in the social life.

Karel Appel ,a famous Dutch painter, vibrantly use the color and wild dramatic brush storks, who established a intonation painting union .In its dedication to expressive figuration this group was partly a reaction to what its members perceived as the lifeless nature of post-war abstraction. To express the eager for the colorful live in the aftermath, they gained the sources of inspiration form the art of children. This is nature seen from the child¡¯s viewpoint: at once both frightening and fascinating, which was a true portrayal of the society and life at that time.

When it comes to the literature of human beings, people would not surprisingly find that the literature more directly reveal the hidden ideas of the society. The writer demonstrates the social life pages and pages no matter using the real instants, most of which are the lives of their own, or quoting others stories or straightforwardly fabricating. Nevertheless, most of those are based on the social environments, as a reut, naturally, the propose of writing is to reflect the real social life directly and indirectly. For instance, the poem entitled ¡°Crossing the sea¡±, written by the famous English poet Roteya Keplen, ¡°all the people like us are we, and everyone else are they, we live over the see, while they live away, but once you cross over the see, we will end by looking on we as only a sort of they¡±, which indicates and demonstrates the meeting of the different cutlers currently that has become a notice issues among the society worldwide.

Similarly, Say what you will about the liberties the bond string quartet take with a piece of classical music, you can not fault its sexually charged performances for being off key. The genre¡¯s popularity is attributable to fact that, with classical music, ¡°there are no language barriers,¡± and has the capability of playing fiddle at a high-steamy pitch. It clearly reveals the new age of the music, meanwhile the popularity signifies that their music arts takes the impulse of the society definitely.

It is the society, conversely, that is pregnant with new arts. In this computer-based era, new arts, such as computer-based vision art and visual reality art display their inimitable characteristics and increasing focused on by the society. The distinct theme of modern society and times dissolves into the modern arts. The case to the point is the hot 3d animation ¡°Seeking Nemo¡± in this summer, which is a complete compute-based digital film popularly taking the world¡¯s plus.

¡°The art is the nature of the man¡±, a writer said. Indeed, the arts, no matter what branches or aspects of it, reveal the hidden ideas and impulses of a society indubitably. Of course, without the society, arts can not live just as the flowers can not growth without earth. Art is not a handicraft, it is the transmission of feeling theorist has experienced, said by Len Tolstoy, a Russian writer, which indicates the art reflects the characteristics of society vividly and hanuman-emotionally.

158 The arts (music, dance, visual arts, etc.) are vitally important to students' education and should therefore receive as much emphasis as mathematics, science, reading and other mainstream subjects.

Should arts be given as much emphasis as mathematics, science, reading and other mainstream subjects? The speaker asserts so. Although I agree that to some extent art is important in our life, it is not as vital as other mainstream subjects that mentioned above. According to me, the importance of arts is greatly determined by individual interests and involvement.

Admittedly, subjects like music, dance, and visual arts should be included in student’s curriculum. The student, who cannot cope in subjects like mathematics and science, might get more inclined to learn music or literature. Moreover, it would give him new direction for his career. Arts are very effective in determining emotions of the human nature. That’s why it is said that the real beauty of the nature can be only seen through the aesthetic eyes of the artists.

Furthermore, the study of arts is essentially depends on individual choices and interests. For example, the renowned female Indian singer Lata Mangeshkar indulges herself in the career of music since her childhood. She was greatly influenced by her father. Her songs have won hearts of millions of people and her admirers’ list is still burgeoning. Although she has had not much formal education, she developed her bright career in field of arts.

In this precocious world, more emphasis is given to the subjects like mathematics, science and other mainstream because they are part and parcel of our daily life. While performing any type of transaction, knowledge of basic mathematics is an indispensable need. In contrast, for appreciating arts it is not necessary to become expert in arts or to have cognizance of it. One who is ignorant about arts can also recognize the beauty in paintings or the melodies in the songs.

In sum, art should be part of student’s education. But, it is not necessary to equivalently emphasize it as mathematics, science, reading and other mainstream subjects. Regardless of the knowledge of art one can always appreciate the beauty of art.

Your essay is definetely consice, though I suppose it might be better supported with more examples. Besides, you should have considered the advantages of art-oriented education, which cannot be achieved through mainstream education. Nonetheless, it is a dusputable matter.

PS: I would be happy to hear your comments on my last essays in these topics: ;)
