I think these are old reports, as per major chains they have more than enough pharmacists in all most all the areas now.( Florida, california NY etc..), I contacted most of the people last month and I visited above places. So, we don't know what would be the future of foreign pharmacists, especially those who are waiting for H1 sponsorship.

This is not to discourage anyody but it seems this is the fact.

Yes, it is from chain. It comes with the benefits but I don't want to ask more than this. I won't ask for more information for this kind of thing, unless being told. I think that it is confidential. He told me not to tell where it is or who he is. It is a big bargain that chain drug stores do this all the time. Another friend of mine had the same experience. However, money was not everything. Money could not buy her. She flew back to work in my home country because of the same reason Khadija told us on another thread about pharmacists walking out of the stores even though he was offered 200K.

I just wanted to give examples about pharmacist shortage. Then, you may have to fill 500 prescriptions a day with that deal. It is an example of increasing wage damaging the profession.

Hi,

One of my friend works for the community pharmacy and her pay is $75/hour. If she works extra hours then she will be paid double for the hour. For her no job on weekend and she works only 8 hors a day. Her pharmacy paying that much money because she is the only registerd pharmacisit for the store and the rest of the staff are intrens, technicians and volunteers.

"Hospital pharmacy has lost its ability to expand its services to meet the increasing demand from the health care system. Pharmacists are difficult to recruit due to discrepancies in wages and increases in workload. The impact of pharmacist shortage on the system is significant and threatens the ability of

the multidisciplinary team to provide appropriate care. Stakeholders such as university administrators, union representatives, employers and employeesmust work together to resolve these issues which negatively impact the quality of patient care."
