sarah123
I think these are old reports, as per major chains they have more than enough pharmacists in all most all the areas now.( Florida, california NY etc..), I contacted most of the people last month and I visited above places. So, we don't know what would be the future of foreign pharmacists, especially those who are waiting for H1 sponsorship. This is not to discourage anyody but it seems this is the fact. rgds Sarah. knok
Check all sites posted. It was reported this year and last year. It is real. You can see the dates and sources. My friend was offered an increasing rate to $68/hour this month. I am not kidding.
fpgeecol
Hi knok, just curious, in which state does your friend get offer at rate of $68/ is this rate come with benefit package? is this from a chain store? Thanks
knok
Yes, it is from chain. It comes with the benefits but I don't want to ask more than this. I won't ask for more information for this kind of thing, unless being told. I think that it is confidential. He told me not to tell where it is or who he is. It is a big bargain that chain drug stores do this all the time. Another friend of mine had the same experience. However, money was not everything. Money could not buy her. She flew back to work in my home country because of the same reason Khadija told us on another thread about pharmacists walking out of the stores even though he was offered 200K. I just wanted to give examples about pharmacist shortage. Then, you may have to fill 500 prescriptions a day with that deal. It is an example of increasing wage damaging the profession.
