sush4u
I did Bachelors of Commerce from an Indian University. I want to do Ph.D. in economics. I want to know if I take masters from Indian Statistical Institute, Delhi School of Economics or JNU, will it help me to get in top 20 Ph.D. program? Or can you suggest any other masters?(I am not eligible for Oxford/Cambridge/LSE). Any help and recommendations will be very helpful. weirdwitch
A top-20 admit is never guaranteed, but possible if you're near the top of your class at DSE or ISI. JNU is a little less quantitative, but quite well regarded in general (although not in the same league as DSE/ISI, so I'm not too sure in terms of top PhD admits). Also, getting into these places is a very tough job in itself, so make sure you have backup options elsewhere. Many European/Canadian/British masters programs other than Oxbridge/LSE are also worth considering.
sush4u
Thanks a lot, Sir. I will prepare hard to enter DSE and ISI (as well as JNU). Yes, I have backup option of MBA. Will you please suggest certain other Masters in my reach(as I am B.Com.) out of India? I will be obliged.
