  1. I will know the answer by next week. Many of my co-workers have Phd's from top schools and one of them will try to hook me up with his old roommate who is a prof now in a top 10 school...not a sure bet yet but there is hope.
  2. thanks...the school I'm trying to get into is pretty big on engineering...so hopefully the prof can decide.
  3. If one professor is interested in a certain student would that be enough to be admitted into a top EE program. Or the admission committee always have the final say?
  4. Do I have a chance to get into following VLSI deisgn EE PhD program? Georgia Institute of Technology - 6 Purdue University–West Lafayette (IN) - 10 University of Texas–Austin - 12 Texas A&M University–College Station - 18 Pennsylvania State University - 18Virginia Tech - 29 Arizona State University (Fulton) - 29 BSEE 3.8/4.0, Co-op experience. MSEE 3.7/4.0, Thesis but no IEEE publication, RA position, univ scholarsips. Working as a product/test engineer for a semiconductor company for 3 years. Planning to take GRE, expect to get ~540-600V, 720-760Q, 4.5-5.0 AWA. I having been taking part time classes on VLSI design while working full time. My plan to is apply for Fall 2007. What can I do now to increase my chance? Thanks!
