    Finaly 50

I took the test on oct. 15 and I got the result 10 days from now. If you haven't got it, and you are in USA, it's better to call customer services and ask they to send you a new report. Good luck. Cayita

  7. Hi Talktojennie! Yes, you can send them a request for rescoring your past TSE test, giving them 50 dolars (us) and including a filled form that you can download and print form the TSE bulletin. You can fax it or send it through the mail, and wait. They sometimes, if you are lucky, improve your score, others they decrease it and some times it remained the same. I got one downgraded from 45 to 40, and another that remained 45. It's luck, and if you think that you did very good and are sure that if you send your application you deserve an upgrade, then do that, but if you aren't sure of it, don't waste your money. Hope this helps. Cayita
  8. Hi Reneta! Hope is the only thing that you must keep with you, the way is long and difficult, but at the end of the journey you are going to get the compensation for all your efforts....[w00t] :)Think always positively, help yourself with practicing and keep your head high, be proud of what you are, because that is one thing that no one can take away from you, not even this TSE test! You always are better than it! At the end you will conquer your goals...:grad: but never give up!:boxing: Cayita Reneta
  9. Hi Reneta!! Don't panic at the moment of the test. It happened to me. But you should be very confident on your knowledge, and assure yourself that you are better than this TEST!!! Please read this: http://www.www.urch.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35872&page=3 I hope it can help you! Cayita
  10. Dear kuanyam! As far as I know they are not interested in what you answer but if you spoke clearly and accurate to the question. They are not interested in your points of view or your thinking in a singular topic. They shouldn't be biased by the content of your answer as long as you answered accurately to them. For example if you were asked to give your opinion regarding wich kind of music is more heard in your country, traditional vs. old music, and you answered that you like TRADITIONAL, BECAUSE you like the sound of the guitar on them, because the rithm is very relaxing, etc, there is no problem. But if you answered that the music in you country have different qualities that you like, like the rithm, the guitars, etc. YOu didn't answer accurately, because you didn't TAKE A SIDE and include on your response the topic of question, kind of music TRADITIONAL OR OLD MUSIC. You were answering wide, but didn't reach exactly what they were requiring from you. To decide between traditional or old music. YOu are talking about the music in your country but didn't take a side. Then they will lower your score. Hope this helps you Cayita
  11. Hi Everybody! I can tell you I took the TSE test 5 tiemes: The first time I didn't have idea about it, and I got there and sat with the phone and spoke without to much coherence... I got 40, that was in my homeland. The second time I took it in Canada and I thought that if I was living in a english speaking country I will get the score I needed....I got 45. The third time I decided that I had to study for the test. I borrowed the 1st. edition of Dean Papajon, practiced, tecorded myself corrected some things and was shure the day of the test, that I spoke fluently and confident so that I was over the test...... I got 45 again and rescore.... 45. I was so upset, because that time I spoke fluently, and supposed that also clearly. :smack: For the fourth time I decided that I needed a coach. I took this clases with a coach, and she was accurate enough to let me know that first I didn't have to rush over the words, second, that I had to pronounce clearly (sometimes my accent put the wrong stress on the words, etc), and that I had to make short sentences and directed to the point so that I could answer the questions accurately, and finaly that I have too many uhhhs and ahhs as I speak that made difficult to understand what I was saying. But even though I knew by then, where I was weak on, I loose confidence, I totaly freaked out, because I thought that all my problems were gonna flourish during the test. I got blank during the test.... I was mumbling the words and came out of the test depressed and thinking that I was going to get 30 for a score...... :wallbash:what happened? I got .....45 again. What I suposse happened, is that even though I spoke with chunky sentences, at the end, without the ehhss and uhhs they were able to understand me. So, for the fifth time I decided to practice by myself, borrowed the second edition of Dean Papajohn, was supported by this forum, and recorded myself so many times that I think that I got back my confidence and this last time (last saturday) I did what they require for the so anheled 50 score (as I understand). I spoke loudly, clear, put intonation and pronouce clearly, fluently and I was RELAXED! Now, I hope that this time they give me the 50 I need. :grad: As a conclusion I think that this test has to be studied for understanding what these people want and to give them exactly that. To know how the answers are organized, helps a lot, because you become familiar with the format and also with the topics they love (university, weather, etc, etc, etc). I hope this helps you, and if I don't pass I will be joining you in the future, but I will never give up. Try to practice, practice, practice. That's the only way to success. I'll be updating you as soon as I get my score. :D cayita
  12. The second edition is updated to changes that TSE has suffered andalso is mor extended with more examples. It also serves for both TSE and Speak tests.
  13. Well, I got the second set of querstions, but I did't memorize the answer, I only made a frame where to work with, and develop the answer, and I was much more relaxed at the moment of the test. I talked at my pace, and developed the answers from those images that I have framed before, and definitly I think I did much better than on the other test, I tried to pronounce clearly, and didn't get stuck at any moment. I thank everybody in this forum for helping others, and hope that this time I finaly got the score. I'm confident. And hope everybody can get the score they need. Thank's a lot.
