  1. This is my very first GMAT test, and I only started studying for it a few months ago. The shocking thing to me was my AWA score, because I always struggled with papers and essays, I hated them. The big verbal and math difference didn't surprise me though. When I took the SAT I had something like 620 and 750. So, the AWA score is even more surprising because my V score says that I'm not that good with grammar but somehow I did well in my AWA. Maybe I got lucky. Score: 600 total (70 percentile) - 28 verbal (51 percentile), 44 math (73 percentile), writing 5.5 (88 percentile) I've been getting low/mid-500s in all my practice tests so this, in a way, was a bit of a relief. Although I really wish it was a bit higher. But I'm not applying to the top schools (because I don't think I'd get in) so it's okay for me.
  2. Kaplan diagnostic - 580 Kaplan - 520, 540, 540 Powerprep - 540 Actual GMAT - 600 (44q, 28v)
  3. I've received some old GMAT books from some people I've known. I have some from 98, some from 2000. Would it be okay to study from these books, or would it hurt me? I also do have some more recent books (2003-2005) which I have studied as well. Also, are there any free downloads for practice GMATs besides the crack Gmat and the powerprep? Any other books/software/etc you would recommend? I have Kaplan 800, Kaplan 2003, Arco Master the GMAT CAT, Princeton Review GMAT Math and Verbal Workouts, GMAT for dummies, Arco Unoffical guide to the GMAT CAT. Oh, and these are the grades I've been getting on my Kaplan tests - what is a good estimate on what I'll get on the real one? Kaplan Diag: 580 Kaplan Practice: 520, 540, 540 ( :( it's lower)
