I just got my results today! I was sooo worried because my essay was terrible. but got a 5.5 phew.. so relieved.

Listening: 28 Structure: i forgot..hehe Reading: 30 The test wasn't too bad but I found it pretty difficult to concentrate, especially on the first half of the test. and i got a little bit bored and started guessing some answers haha.. so i finished almost an hour early. (i'm a bad example!) Essay.. hmm.. better plan for that one, I think. cos i didn't plan mine and it all came out pretty bad. Plus i forgot to check for spelling mistakes and stuff. Doubt I'll do well for this test. Just wondering, is the score range good enough to qualify for college? i'm sort of aiming for a 250, considering my trashy piece of essay, think i could get it?

Hey what you can do is basically practice a whole lot, read, write, and expose yourself to the English language. Since your test is approaching, why not try doing a practice paper a day? or some grammar questions or anything of that sort. and if you ever find trouble concentrating in sections like grammar/ reading, reading aloud really helps! I just did the TOEFL not long ago, it's not too bad. don't worry!

I think you gotta get used to the American accent cos sometimes they can speak pretty fast. and if you're already familiar with it, try to concentrate on what the people are saying. Practice a few times and it shouldn't be too bad.
