    NAPLEX in 2008

Please do post your followup with NABP about the dates in March 03, 2008. If possible call them daily to get an update. At the moment PaersonVue has no direct information about NAPLEX start date. they can only confirm that from Jan2, 2008 they would start accepting the applications for test. Definitely something sounds fishy.

    ID's

Yes, I guess you can. Since it has your photo, DOB and signature. To be on safe side just read what they ask for, if for some reason they ask only passport then take that insteast of your green card. Wish you all the Best.

    NAPLEX in 2008

Just Call Pearson to schedule your NAPLEX on Jan 2 and see how they help you. On NABP website they say that, "Individuals who want to test in 2008 may schedule appointments beginning on January 2 via the Pearson VUE Web site or the customer service line. The last day testing will be held at Prometric testing centers will be December 31.Individuals who want to test in 2008 may schedule appointments beginning on January 2 via the Pearson VUE Web site or the customer service line. The last day testing will be held at Prometric testing centers will be December 31." Post your information here after you finish talking to them. Thanks.
  12. Wish you all the best !!!
  13. Congratulations !!! I think you passed NAPLEX !!!. See your email and PM.
  14. I think the answer is a) 1 1. The high fat breakfast had no significant effect on the bioavailability of the drug
  15. Talk to Human Resources about the pay rate. You DM or the pharmacy does not pay you salary. The Rite Aid corporate pays intern salary hence the best place to talk/call is the Human Resources Department of the Rite Aid.
  16. I hope this helps you. Rite Aid's eligibility like any other chain pharmacy for benefits is after 90 days of employment. There are various options to select and yes you do pay out of pocket for the coverage and the coverage is very good. I would say for approx. $ 100/month amount you can have very good coverage and this is before any federal/state tax hence you also save money.
  17. No wonder. "Walgreens" is well known for this. I guess since they pay you out of their nose hence they expect you know and learn things faster. If it really troubles you then you should call your PDM explain and tell him to transfer you to another store.
  18. Is it possible to do internship in one state and give NAPLEX from another state and then transfer the NAPLEX score to the state where you complete internship and thus save time before getting once license. Has anyone done this before? Please share expiriences....
  19. Why you all are eager to give NAPLEX without internship? May be I am missing here something. What is the big advantage of giving NAPLEX w/o completing internship? Internship is supposed to train us as a pharmacist to help solve patients problem. I don't see any other way one could get trainned. I beleive NAPLEX alone is not enough for one to become pharmacist. I will appreciate any response from you all. Cheers,
  20. I agree with the most of the guys that WAGS is really not good for International Pharmacist. I got through the International Recruiter for possible positions. In one of the mid East State, the DM interviewed me after OK from International recruiter. He seemed to me really racist says "Are you from India"....."I know exactly what to in your international situation" .."you know I can hire 2 tech in Interns salary"......"I want to hire you but will hire you as a 5th year intern....I will give you a busy store while you get trainning"..."I will watch you continuosly".....After you are a pharmacist I will make you shuttle between different stores specially from one end of my jurisdiction to the other end"... specially the busy ones...he adds that usually local American pharmacist dont want that but let me tell you it is very useful"...I humbly said OK then let me know..."he says he still needs approval from Corporate"... "he said I will get back to you"..."never gets back to me neither uploads the interview on the central system". Second telephone Interview with another extreme Northeast DM says "you will have to go around to different stores while you are getting trained (internship) until I hear any appreciation about you from the stores in that region".... "I hope you have car to go around"..."Some interns find the stores sooner some rotate for more time".. This DM was surprised that how come the other DM from mid East US did not upload the interview. I told him that possibly he did not have any intern position. I declined the position with him because I do not want to be a "shuttling intern". I want to learn more about the different things going on in the pharmacy. I think if you spend time in shuttling and getting adjusted to different work enviroments then there is very little learning. While WAGS pays you more ....I accepted offer from Eckerd/Rite Aid which promise the same store both during internship and after becoming pharmacist. Both, the recruiter and DM are more humble and polite. Guys remember whatever you get paid during internship does not matter much because once you are Pharmacist all chain pharmacy pays you the same. This is just my expirience...
  21. Yes, you are right Pharm D is needed for many such programs.
  22. I do not completely agree with your statement. I think once you get Pharmacy license and NABP verifies your Foreign Pharmacy education and you have passed FPGEC. This is same as passing a pharmacy school from an Accredited program. I would really advise you to check with the coordinating officer of the programs in order to do residency in hospitals. I am sure they will agree that a Pharm D degree is not essential for doing residency once NABP has certifed your education and you have Rph degree and work expirience of a pharmacist.
  23. visnaga, This is useful information. However, the term "clinical pharmacist" does not make any sense. Pharmacist license is a license to practice pharmacy on patients, hence it is all clinical. I have never heard of any non-clinical pharmacist. I think if you want to do certain specialization then you need to join a residency in Pharmacy School and get a degree from Board of Pharmacy Speciality.
  24. Daddy, I Sent You Private Message. Can You Please Reply ? Thanks.
