We (me and my wife) got our visa and we are in US right now. I want to thank everyone in this forum for advices and specially to Tino for helping me :tup:.

I and my wife had separate I-20 form (I have F1 visa type and my wife have F2) but because of late visa issuance we could not get to US according to deadline that shown in our I-20 form. So I ask to the university admission office to send new I-20 for to us. After 2 weeks they sent just my corrected I-20 not my wife I-20 my question is: may having two I-20 forms with different arriving date cause any problem in the point of entry to US or not? We do not have time to wait for new I-20 at all. What is the best way at this situation? Thanks in advance. Roozbeh

I have bank statement around 15000$ but my wife do not have this. My question is, is the bank statement needed for F-2 interview? Thanks in advance. Roozbeh

Dear Tino; thank you a lot. But the fact is that I and my wife got full support from OU university I just want to show my bank statment to CO not for other expences because my sponsor (scholarship from university) will come up with me and my wife. best regards Roozbeh

Hey guys; Thanks for your advices. I follow up your forum every day. I’ve gotten my account print of deposit from an internal bank in IRAN but the fact is that the quantity written is not appeared in dollar. Now, my question is, do I transport all my money to international bank and create an international account or there is another way to show the quantity of my account to CO in dollar? I’ve read that passport must be valid for at least six months after proposed date of entry into the United States. The fact is that my passport will be expired in 2008 whereas my I-20 form ending date is in 2010. Is the expiring of my passport before ending date of my I-20 can be lead to some problem in my interview or not? Thanks in advance.

Thank you Tino for your reply; 1) What Uni? University of Oklahoma. 2) What program of study (subject, Master or PhD)? PhD. 3) What does the scholarship cover (tuition, housing, food, extra $)? All items. 4) Will you be working for the Uni (as a TA, or someother)? I think so. 5) How much money in bank accounts could you show today from you, your wife and you and your wife's parents? (total, in US $) 15000$ totally, why should I show money in bank for my wife's parents? Could you explain this for me? Because just I and my wife want to get visa nothing else.

I really appreciate you for creating and supporting such helpful site. I’ve gotten scholarship (full financial support for both I and my wife) from one university in USA. I want to apply for VISA couple of months later. I could deposit around 10000$ in my saving account during 8 months. Is it enough for showing financial support? If not how much money is acceptable? Thanks in advance.
