  1. I was wondering if anyone out there can help me understand and answer this study question? "what percentage of benzoic acid will remain undissociated in the aqueous phase of a 50% oil/water emulsion if the initial concentration of benzoic acid added to the aqueous phase is 0.5%? The aqueous phase is buffered at pH 5.00 and the o/w partition coefficient is 5.33. Assume that benzoic acid is in monomeric form in the oil phase." If anyone can help I will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, A.S.
  2. smanic, Well, since I've taken the "oath of a pharmacist" I can't recommend that you buy ANY controlled substance online. What you do in the "privacy" of your own cyber-space, well...I can't control that. I would recommend to you, not to buy any medications online. Not only is it morally wrong, you really don't know what you're going to get...unless you have a lab where you can test the medication, I wouldn't trust it. Although, I'm writing this from the "free" United States, once you place an order online, it can be tracked by the powers that be. If you're really hard up for Diazepam, let's try the legal and safe approach, go to a doctor...or better yet, go to med school and you can write as many scripts as you want!! Seriously though, don't do it, you're only setting yourself up. You might get away with it once or maybe even twice, but importing and ingesting something bought online WILL catch up with you. And that's all I can say about that...but I guess I would question why you would post something like this on a public forum? Man, what is going on out there buddy? A.S.
  3. Johnny Cash: Pretty much the soundtrack of my life, then Tom Waits and::tup: :spidey2: '70's Bowie...this is pretty much on permanent rotation. Pavement, "Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain"...I dare you not to like this cd! Other than that, not much else.
  4. I would have to say: Stay away, one day a week and no cash isn't going to be worth the hassle of having the extra expense of childcare AND studying. Concentrate on the materials, not every pharmacy will be representative of what you will need to know for the exam...that's my two pence. Cheers, A.S.
  5. Hello all, I'm new to the forum and have a rather silly question. I should know this, but my mind is a blank right now, the question is: "The freezing pt. depression produced by a 1% Procaine solution is 0.12 degrees Celsius. Accurately measured delta Tf for a 3% solution is 0.33 degrees C. Is this the expected value?" The way I'm doing it must be wrong, because I'm trying to make it "fit", like a square peg in a round hole...Also: "Explain why the freezing point depression is an indicator of concentration of a drug in solution. Give limitations to this method." If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it! thanks, A.S.
