i need help deciding :idea: which university to choose FROM (M.S . in computer science) USC CLEMSON NorthEastern UNIV Please can everyone one of u possibly knowing about these universities put their feedback.Every factor i mean whatever the points (negative /positive) about these univs wat fellow TMians have heard Thanxx A LOTT

hey .. i had found da review on www.studentsreview.com a site made by mit students and mite b helpful 2 a few ppl over here chekin out da reviews for da colleges...i had called my friend up whoz in usc this is wat he had 2 say..im pasting this from the mail he had sent me afer i called him up..chek it out n give ur views is it worth the fees....and is it easy 2 get a job after graduation? I think so, coz there are many job opportunities in USC for engineering and computer science. its not easy u gotta struggle to get a job but eventually u do. how different is ms from b.e ohh worlds apart....Ms is really tough compared to b.e atleast I found it so....ms is way practical compared to BE how are the professors n stuff and howz da aid over there... Proff's r oook..research profs are good.... rgarding aid man its tough to get here but ppl still do, but generally they dont...:eek:

i was goin through da reviews of usc n i came across this..thought wud share wid u'll.... unlike most universities where education is highly valued, usc is more money focused....meaning USC is more interested in taking your moneys than giving what they promised or the media acclaimed. there is no doubts that USC media related program are the worlds finest....and there is no doubt that their alumni lend hands in jacking up their engineering grad rank so high. please don't let this high rank deceive you. what you saw isn't true. the educational quality is far below sub-standard. i have taken an anlog ic grad course with 150 students? that is totally absurd. most of the professors USC hired aren't even on the faculty roster, they're part timers from the outside and they're not very passionated about teaching most of the time. they're more concerned about their paychecks. while the full time professors are very arrogrants and idiotic, they're full of themselves. impossible to approach or even say hi to them, they love smirf at your face when you ask them for research/teaching assitantship. let's me explain my unconfused friends, that's simply because the university admitted way too many darn students. the engineering grad school alone has over 4000 on campus students and over 2000 part time students. that number is continuously expanding as time goes on from what I understood from their DEN program. if the stat doesn't speaks for itself, I have not idea what elses would. so if you're an ms student trying to get some funding here, forget it ! 99.99% of MS students here got ZERO aids from USC. And USC could careless about them either. However, if you're a phd students....you'll have a little more chances depending on your area of researches. also, don't forget there are a lot of research professors here who likes to form their own ethnical niches. if you're not one of them *people* then good luck to you when you ask them for sponsorships. overall, I would NOT recommend USC to anyone....please consider other schools where that school professors care more about you than your wallet (by the way im applying there and am confused)

i have a live:mad: kt in maths (sem 5) and applying for computer science gre score 1230 710q +520v+4.5 awa toefl 270 1st yr :59% ( had 3 kts but cleared them immediately) 2nd yr 55% 3rd yr 59%(1 live kt):eek: 4th yr:still on how will it affect my chanmces of gettin admission in a collg im not aplying to the top 30 colleges sum of the colleges i am aplpyin 2 are iit njit syracuse suny utica rome univ of massa. boston drexel... i asked my counsellor about how it will affect my chances of getting an admission .she says not to attach any special letter or sumthin explaning why i got tat kt. can anyone pleaseee clarify.what shud i do?....thanx
