oh well in my school, both the percentage mark and gpa is given for each course. i calculated my own average % the same way you calculate your GPA.

I have a little request, could you please answer the bottom questions, I would like to see just how much of an effect our average has on our cumulative GPA. 1) What's your cumulative GPA (out of 4.00)? 2) What's your undergraduate average? Here are my answers: 1) 3.01 2) 72% Thanx :)

Thanks to all of you who kept this thread going, I think its a good way to keep our sanity. I've just realized that many of your admits/rejects' deadlines were much earlier than mine, kinda gives me a peace of mind. Lets keep it coming, as for myself, I STILL haven't received any word from anyone.

Hey everyone, I have a question for all those who have heard back from schools, whether be it an admission or rejection. If you have heard back from a school, when did you apply? when was the application deadline? Is it a rolling admission? and FINALLY, when did you receive your admission/rejection (doesnt have to be the exact date)? I want to know when I should expect my admits/rejects to come in. Thanks! :)

This question's probably been played out, and perhaps a little silly, but out of curiosity, when they say your statement should not be longer than 2-3 pages, how many words are they looking at? Whats the generic font? I have my font at Times NR and size 10, and its 2.5 pages long. However I have a little over 1100 words. Will this be a problem?? THX:)

oh no are you serious? i think i should start calling, now i'm worried :( Hey I just read this from U Mich's website: Applicants who have earned a degree from an institution where the language of instruction is English, (i.e. U.S., United Kingdom, Australia) are exempt from submitting a MELAB, TOEFL, or IELTS score. http://www.rackham.umich.edu/Admis/prosp/apply/min_req.html and TOEFL score if you are a non-native English speaker. The TOEFL score must be less than two years old. The TOEFL is waived for any international applicant who has received a degree from an English-speaking institution. http://www.econ.lsa.umich.edu/econ/grad/admission/ It should be waived if you studied in Canada.

OK, I'm VERY CONFUSED :doh: Do 'international students' also include students from Canada? Or does it depend on the school?? I read somewhere that North America (which includes Canada) is NOT considered international (to USA). So which one is it?

Hey guys, San Diego State wants a photocopy of my GRE score report. But I dont want them to see the 4 institutions I sent my scores to. Do you think it would look bad if I white-out or even photocopy the report with a sheet on top of the names of the 4 school so that they wont be able to read them?

Lol I should've mentioned it. I'm applying to M. public health, and no I'm from Canada Do you guys know generally how long after receiving everything do they start sending out admits? and when do they start, after they receive the packages (if received before deadlines) or just after deadelines? [banana]

For the places I'm applying to, deadlines are late january/early feb. :D

whats funny is that I just mailed my packages out (HOLY SMOKES ITS EXPENSIVE), and I'm already checking to see if they've been received. :crazy: Call me crazy? sure.

Hey guys, Thanks for your great replies. Well I did waive my right to see the letters, but my recommendor insisted that I see it.:) I have no grounds on changing anything (except for daydreamer's situations, checking grammar and content, if there's more I should add). But thats it. Though because I have no means of comparing (being that I dont really what signifies an excellent letter), I have no idea how to make my letter better and give him suggestions. Thanks :)
