  1. Hey, Guys!!! I am a pharmacist working for CVS in CA. I am very stressed out. I understand it depends on techs a lot, and my techs are not that good(pharmacy manager is afraid to loose them). I am thinking about going to work somewhere else... It's extremely stressful. But I don't know anything about other places. Like insurance companies(to do PAs), or independent (nice mon-fri schedule but no health benefits), or hospitals. CVS is cutting hours. WHat are your experiences on all this financial crisis? And please, share your experience with us if you're working for independent, retail, insurance or hospital.
  2. Hey, guys!!! I am collecting all documents to apply for pharmacy license, and I was told that my name on Driver License and Social Security need to match. Documents that I have: Green card: does NOT contian middle name Driver License: does NOT contain midle name SOcial Sequrity: contains my middle name Pharmacy Diploma: contains middle name When I went to DMV to ADD my middle name on DL, they told me they will NOT do it, because DL is issued on basis of Green card(name on green card doesn't contain middle name). And Green card is based on my Passport issued by Russian Federation, and it doesn't contian my middle name either!!! So USCIS will NOT ADD my middle name on Gren Card. What am I supposed to do??? I can't change my name either way!!! Can I just change my middle name (just take it OFF) on my social sequrity? So I will NOT have any middle name? I hope it's not going to be any confusion because my diplomda contains MIDDLE Name. What am I supposed to do??? thank you

  17. Check out this cool web site about pharmacist salaries: Salary.com’s Salary Wizard™- Do you know what you're worth?
  18. Summorizing my info abt Rite Aid intern benefits: 1)eligibility: after the 13th month of employment. 2)coverage: 80% vs 20%(it means employer pays 80% and employee pays 20%) 3)monthly union dues: 45.00 dollars. Add a spouse - 20.00 dollars. Such a long time to become eligible for benefits - coz Rite Aid is in the "union", that how insurance people at Rite AId explain this. Walgreens and CVS are not in the union. And check out this cool website for info abt annual retail pharmacy salary:Salary.com’s Salary Wizard™- Do you know what you're worth?
  19. Insurance/Benefits with Rite Aid, Walgreens, CVS Hey, guys! Let's share our information on insurance/benefits for different drug chains - Rita Aid, Walgreens, CVS. I'll be more than happy to share my experience with Rite Aid. As a pharmacy intern at Rite aid, employee is getting health benefits on the 13th month of employemt, if yourked qualifying hours. It means when I start my internship, I'll have to wait a whole YEAR to get any benefits, becasue it's some kind of "union", and you pay union dues. Whereas CVS and Walgreens are not in th union. I heard that union benefits are better in the long run coz they offer better coverage plus pension. Union dues for pharmacists are abt 45.00/month, if you wanna add a spouse - another 20.00/month. That's it! But you gotta wait 13 months till you benefits pitch in. And the coverage is 80% vs 20%(it means empolyee pays 20%) THE QUESTION: WHAT ABOUT BENEFITS/INSURANCE at other drug chains? What kind of benefits you guys get working at Walgreens and CVS? 1)How long does it take to be eligible for benefits? 2)And how much money do they deduct from your paycheck? COz it really makes difference - your monthly premiums vs insurance coverage. 3)Is the coverage good? Please, share your information! Thank you!
  20. contact NABP or oyur state board of pharmacy!

  23. Hey, guys! I work as a pharmacy clerk at Rite Aid while waiting on my intern papers, and as an intern the pay is gonna be around 24.00/houra at RIte Aid. *(I heard the pay at Walgrens is around 30.00/hour). THE QUESTION: WHAT ABOUT BENEFITS/INSURANCE? What benefits you guys get working at Walgreens, Rite Aid, and CVS? HOw long does it take to be eligible for benefits? And how much money do they deduct from your paycheck? COz it really makes difference - your monthly premiums vs insurance coverage. please, share your information! thank you!
