this is not very true overall according to my observation. personally, i think that surviving the first year and prelim requires concentration, dedication, and attitude above former preparation. Hard-work is a must, but your own learning technique is also important.

hi, look to the faculty and see where they have connection with. That way it is more acessible for you to go where you wanna end up being after you get your degree
