  1. The stanford admissions site says that the deadline for decisions of MS program is March 31. But, I had applied for the PhD program and noted that if I don't get admitted, I would like to be considered for MS program. Any idea by when these forwarded MS decisions would be out?
  2. I got a reject from GTech. :(:(:( In fact, this is the 9th reject in a row. :D:p, and only one decision is pending. Crossing fingers doesnt seem to work... Will keep hands and legs crossed now. What if the last one (Stanford MS) is a reject too?? What do I do?
  3. The status-check website of Gatech says that my PhD (CS) decision is still pending. It is already so late!!! Is this delay an indicative of reject?:( Any one got a recent accept? Incidentally.. I got an email from finaid@gatech.edu mentioning some links to pages containing help on financial aid at gatech. Do I apply for aid even before getting the admission result?
  4. I haven't actually received all my results yet. However, the only decisions pending are from those universities where I had applied "just in case I didnt get any where else". I am considering to apply once again. I would be thankful for your help regarding the following issues. (i) Provided I get an MS-admit from a low-ranked university, should I accept it? Is it possible for me, as an international student, to jump to a PhD program at good school in the next spring or fall? (visa considerations) (ii) Some universities have their MS application deadlines in late April. Is it a good option to fill out the application now? What might be the chances of financial aid? (iii) Is there a way that I can find out what exactly was lacking in my application? I tried to ask it by email, but got no response. Would a phone call help? I think this information would be helpful while applying next time. (iv) Is it better to work on an internship program, or join a school that offers me admission, if I ultimately have to apply again, and change the graduate school? Thanks in advance for your help.
