    Frustration!!

Hi, I am scheduled to write my GRE on July 15th. I am frustrated with myself because, I commit innumerable silly mistakes. I dont know how to get rid of it. I am ok with the concepts.. If I attempt 20 problems I make 7-8 silly mistakes. If I am too conscious about each and every problem, I am losing out on the time...The very thought that, I would commit the same in my real exams makes me paranoid...Is there any means to master this silly mistake epidemic??? I am feeling desperate. Please help..
  10. Thanks...I overlooked could be....
  11. But the answer according to Nova is A. The explanation, they have given is as follows: Choose x = 1 and y = 2. Then 3x + y/2 = 3⋅1+2/2 = 4, which is even. The answer is (A). Note: We don’t need to check the other answer-choices because the problem asked for the expression that could be even. Thus, the first answer-choice that turns out even is the answer. I wasnt too convinced, hence wanted to run it thru TM
  12. If y is an even integer and x is an odd integer, which of the following expressions could be an even integer? (A) 3x +y/2 (B) (x + y)/2 © x + y (D) x/4−y/2 (E) x^2 + y^2
  13. Hey Pavel, That was a gr8 explanation. Could you just explain step 3 elaborately. I am not getting it. Thanks
