    back on the road

Hi guys, only would like to say hi! I took the GMAT in May this year and got a 600 (47q,26(!)v) and therefore have to sit again for the test end of the year! As before I will use this forum to discuss some questions and hope to get my 650+ score to get into a business school of my choice. All the best for you studies! Kind regards drexi
  2. Hey Trouble, what would you recommend?
  3. Hi, I took the GMAT twice, 530 and after a solid prep 600 in the beginning of may. My split was 47q and 26v and it is obvious, where the problem is. Could somebody help me and give some advice how to prepare for verbal and move the score up significantly? I used so far the 11th/10th OG, Kaplan and Kaplan Verbal to prepare. Thanks! :hmm: Drexi
  4. I think in math it helped a lot to study difficult questions. Last time I only concentrated on the stuff in the official guide. This time I did the Kaplan, Crack the GMAT and had a look here in the forum. :)
  5. Hi guys, just came back from the test and I am really disappointed because I was aiming for 650. However, math looks ok, but verbal is still an issue( although test scores were always between 30-34). I am not a native speaker and I think I have to retake it. The questions in math are above the difficulty level of the prep questions. Verbal was not that challenging, I thought, but obviously to much for me today. The interesting thing was that I was feeling much better during the verbal session than during the math session. Thanks for supporting me during the last weeks in math. I think I will be around for the next month, while I will work on my verbal skills. Drexi
  6. is (x-y)/(x+y) > 1 1. x>1 2. y
  7. I agree with 81 possibilities, buteach sec. has at least 1 to type, we have 3 possibilities for the first, 3 for the second, 2 for the third and 1 for the last. 3*3*2*1 are 18 possibilities. Because there are three sec., we have to multiply the 18 with 3. 18*3 = 54 Probability 54/80, or 27/40.
  8. should be 70 / all combinations. All combinations = 12! / 8!*4! = 495 Therefore 70/495
  9. if you use numbers it is A. I.e. 1/2 = X left side is 1 (1/2 / 1/2), which is not smaller than 1/2) But you cannot find a number which is above 1 and makes the inequality wrong... So for me it is A.

    Crack the GMAT

Hi, has somebody experience with the prep tests from Crack the GMAT? I don't really understand their scoring. I performed between 43-48 scale on the GMAT Preps and had an almost identical series on the Crack the GMAT ones. My scale score there, 38???? What can I take for the real one?
  11. HI, congrats, great score! I am aiming for the roughly the same. I have more than a week of full time study left and scoring at the moment around 630. What were your test scores?
