  1. I had the same experaince. there must be something wrong with the GMAT. I am very sure I did very well in the exam, however, I got 580 !! good luck in your next one.
  2. I am sorry to hear your story because I had the same experience before. PLEASE REMOVE THE REAL GMAT QUESTIONS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
  3. how many (1/5) mile in 2.5 mile . in other words, how many .2 miles in 2.5 miles. it is 13. therefore, it is 1 + .2 (12) = 3.4 the answer is D
  4. It is B. the sum of two different consecutive intergers can be the same only if the medians = 0.
  5. this is very important. you need to do the following: 1. don't do any GMAT stuff the night before the GMAT day 2. sleep at least 8-9 hours. 3. take a shower and do some exercies. 4. make sure you eat 2 hours before the exam. 5. before entering the exam, eat a banana. 6. after the AWA section, take a break, eat an apple or banana and wash your face with a cold water. also you might want to eat or drink something with high concetration of suger such as a chocolate. if you are ok with milk, then you can drink it. 7. do the same in the second break. it is very important you take your breaks. if you need to enter the restroom, the do it. note: do not eat too much during the break. the meal should be very light. if you eat a lot, then most of the blood in your brain will go to your stomach, and I don't think you want to do this.
  6. I agree with you in the concept. however, would you please explain how you got x = 2. in other words, how did you solved for X mathmatically.
  7. well done Lhomme ;-) and thank you VGP :-)
  8. getting the number is very simple. you agree when N = 0 then 5 * (N^3/8) = 0 N = 2, 2^3 = 8, therefore 8/8 = 1 N=4, 4^3 is divisable by 8 N=6, 6^3 is divisable by 8 N=8, 8^3 is divisable by 8. and because 0,2,4,6, and 8 are divisable by 8, they will produce an interger.
  9. I agree with gugush, the answer should be A not B
  10. the number which will produce an integers are 0,2,4,6 and 8. so the answer is 5/10 = 1/2
  11. for the first question, isn't the answer is 1/20 = 0.05?
  12. another way to think about this problem is that each person below 5 should have a person above 5 to balance him. so 4 needs 6, 3 needs 7, and so on. so the answer is 4 numbers above 5 which is 9
  13. this is very simple question. the answer is simply X (3/4)(9/10) = 108 . then we simply simplify it. so 9 takes the 108 = 12 and 3 takes the 12 and makes it 4 . therefore, x = 4X40 = 160.
  14. B can't be the answer. B says X > -1 . therefore X can be 1. x=1 doesn't satesfy X/|X|
