  1. Come on people, 91 views and no one has an opinion on this? Please share your views.
  2. Hey, yeah I will be applying for Columbia, Harvard, Duke, Berkeley and UMich.:hmm: Are you in RSEA at Columbia?
  3. Ahoi fellow applicants, I have a question regarding funding and admissions. Are the chances to get admitted higher if you do not apply for any funding from the university and clearly state that you will rely on your own resources? I am an international applicant, so I would be throwing some serious money at the University. Don't get me wrong, I am not a stupid rich kid who wants to get admitted just because he has money. I am in the top 15% of my class and an overall good student, so will also be able to present a strong application. But still, I want to be as competitive as possible. Since I am in the lucky situation of being able to be funded from outside, I would sure as hell not apply for funding if that increases the chances of being admitted. I want to go to those schools desperately:( Also I am applying for a very small field (MA in East Asian Studies).
  4. Ahoi Ahoi, you obviously don`t watch the Simpsons too much. Apart from that its a word used by seamen as far as I know.....and thats not all that much.
  5. Ahoi, I am thinking about taking a 6 week Princeton Review GRE Prep course but first I`d like to get some opinions. Do you think they are worth their :2cents: :2cents: or do you think it`s a bunch of crap? Any experiences?
  6. Ah the computer and math geeks:p Well any general comments are welcome as well. Maybe someone has experience in a similar program...
  7. Hey I am new to the community and i read a lot of different threads on the site but none could answer my question. I am looking to apply for an MA in East Asian Studies / South East Asian Studies for fall 2007. I haven`t found any info on that here. So here`s what i got so far: no BA, cuz i come from a country that doesn`t have the BA/MA System( Germany), but i have a strong intermediate examination, top 10% of my class GRE: 1460 (Q:710,V:750) some work experience in asian countries, but nothing stellar, just a few internships a strong SOP (well i hope so at least:rolleyes: ) I am looking for programs at Harvard, Duke, Columbia, Berkeley, USC What do you think are my chances to get accepted for the programm at those universities. Any comments? Thanks in advance.
