Hi NJIT, you said that one of your friend's name and DOB got matched with FBI list, can you tell me what happened with his 221g case????

Dear frenz yah i am still (since 19thMAY) waiting for the clearance of my case for F1 visa. my classes are scheduled to begin on 17th AUG. the VO said my name is too common, this could be that my name may have got a hit from the FBI database or there may be too many immigrants whose names or part of names are similar to mine who have gone first on F1 and then converted their status to H1...Since 9/11 they have become quite strict... bye mfhanif

Dear all I am denied my F1 visa under section 221g on the basis that my name was Too Common on 19th May 2006. Although the visa officer ssaid that this is not a rejection but they need clearance from washington. How much time do they take for the processing or clearance? What should i do?
