  1. yes answer is A, thanks for your help! i knew the answer was A but didn't realise something so simple like where 0 is the numberator whether that is divisible by 4 so stupid.....!!
  2. If n is a positive integer, is (n^3)-n divisible by 4? (1) n = 2k+1, where k is an integer. (2) (n^2)+n is divisible by 6. For this question, if the numerator is 0, does that still mean it is divisible by 4?
  3. GMATbong and others, would be grateful for your advice. As you know, most schools require a reference from two people. How important is the identity of these people. I.e. Is there an idea of a "good" reference? If there is, does it have to be someone that is/was your boss or higher up in the chain (e.g. global head, etc) and maybe also in the industry? Will giving a reference who worked with me on the same rank be considered a good reference? Many thanks and any advice appreciated.
  4. but the question states AT LEAST 7 not just 7 times.
  5. nikiforos, quick question is there a quick way to get all factors for such big numbers like 360? many thanks for your help
  6. Can someone advise me on how to solve questions more quickly? I can answer them but it is taking me far too long...(around 2 to 3 mins per question). Any advice much appreciated.
  7. can someone explain why it is A for the 1st question, i also got D...
  8. can someone explain why it is A?
  9. how come 30 does not need to divide by two since order is not important?
  10. i dont know how to get answer 2...can someone explain why answer two is (6-2)/(9-2)
  11. 3/2 is not an integer, as K must be an integer, it can't be 3/2
  12. *Correction* ok I think i got it... 3W 5M total outcomes for 4 person team taken from 8 people: 8C4 = 70 Pick two men from group: 3C2=3 Pick two women from group: 5C2=10 Total outcome of selected men and women groups together=3*10=30 Total outcomes=30 Therefore probability=30/70=3/7=C.
  13. can someone use another method to solved this, i am getting confused... the denominator must be 70, but I can't get the top bit. How do we get 30?
