  1. yes you are right since 16 is too small we have to use 2^8 that is the next number in the cycle. Thanks
  2. Which is bigger? A) 100210*90021 B) 100021*90210 Answer is B, Can anyone explain the trick here? Thanks:)
  3. Hey!!! Its not the exponent divided by 17 but its the 2^8 Thanks
  4. obese :: fat :: strong :: cadaverous :: emancipated :: square :: c I am feeling the answer is d, but the answer is c why???
  5. Hey Rumen could you please be more detailed!!! Thanks
  6. What is the difference in the degree measures of the angles formed by the hour hand and the minute hand of a clock at 12:35 and 12:36?:) A) 1deg B) 5deg C) 5.5deg D) 6deg E) 30deg Thanks
  7. Rumen then how is 1^2 = +/-1(I mean square of a number has to positive). Thanks
  8. Thanks Rumen!!! 3Q) I have calculated just for the consecutive numbers and that to for only positive, so my scope was narrow. 4Q) I understood you approach but do you mean (1)^1/2 is +/- 1?? I mean in ETS its say only +1 for (1)^1/2(wehn you use the symbol) and if its asked as square root of 1 then it its +/-1 Thanks
  9. Yogi do you mean 0 is a positive integer too in ETS?? :) Thanks
  10. Rumen how did you get this 1^2=+/-1 ? Q5 X>0, X!=1 so X=1 sqrt1=+/-1 , 1^2=+/-1 so D) In ETS (1)^1/2 = +1 only, if not = +-1. 3Q) I am getting C Thanks
  11. Thanks Rumen, I forgot 15+4. Then that particular approach is wrong I guess becasue its exceeding 10. By thge way do we have to write 1 as a mulitple too...any idea??? Thanks
  12. 1Q) 3+4, 3+8, 3+12, 3+16 6+4, 6+8, 6+12, 9+4, 9+8, 12+4 So 10 numbers Thanks
  13. 1q) Take two or three numbers and try (for eg: n = -1, -2, -3...0, etc and 1, 2, 3..etc and even fraction also) you will come to know a>b Thanks
  14. Ashhad you are confusing the questions, so please write more clearly. Thanks
  15. As number is even number, consider the total of 3 digit number that can be formed with 0, 2, 4 and 6 at unit place. Numbers with 0 at units place = 6 X 5 X 1 = 30 (1=>selecting zero from zero in 1c1 ways, and 6 => means selecting the 10th place from the remaining 6 numbers in 6c1, and 5 => means selcting the 100th place from the remaining 5 numbers in 5c1 ways) Numbers with 2 at units place = 5 X 5 X 1 = 25 (1=>selecting zero from 2 in 1c1 ways, and 5 => means selecting the 100th place from the remaining 5 numbers in 5c1,"HERE no zero" and 5 => means selcting the 10th place from the remaining 5 numbers in 5c1 ways "HERE ZERO IS POSSIBLE") Numbers with 4 at units place = 5 X 5 X 1 = 25 (1=>selecting zero from 4 in 1c1 ways, and 5 => means selecting the 100th place from the remaining 5 numbers in 5c1,"HERE no zero" and 5 => means selcting the 10th place from the remaining 5 numbers in 5c1 ways "HERE ZERO IS POSSIBLE") Numbers with 6 at units place = 5 X 5 X 1 = 25 (1=>selecting zero from 6 in 1c1 ways, and 5 => means selecting the 100th place from the remaining 5 numbers in 5c1,"HERE no zero" and 5 => means selcting the 10th place from the remaining 5 numbers in 5c1 ways "HERE ZERO IS POSSIBLE") Thus, total of 3 digit even number = 30+25+25+25 = 105 Thanks
  16. I got it !!! Probably this is a GMAT problem which is totally different form GRE. Thanks
  17. Hey Micknugget!!! For the same problem when do we chosse A, B, and D??? I mean in the answer choices. Thanks
  18. Hey Micknugget!!! Though we prove that "a" is a multiple of 3 and so do "b"... The question here is which is bigger or equal or cannot be determined. For that we have to know the value of the "a" and "b" to compare. So now how do you find whether 3(k+z) > May be I missed something somewhere then please let know, I appreciate your help.:) Thanks
  19. Dear Friends!!! Plz someone tell me where am I lost! Thanks
  20. Hey Vinay!!! Good luck and you will do it! Thanks
