  1. Not True. Q468 of 1K series contradicts the above statement 468. Just because King Alfred occupied and fortified London in 886 did not mean that he also won the loyalty of its citizens: the invading Danes were well aware of this weakness and used it to their advantage in 893. (A) Just because King Alfred occupied and fortified London in 886 did not mean that he (B) The fact that King Alfred had occupied and fortified London in 886 did not mean that he had © Just because King Alfred occupied and fortified London in 886, it did not mean he (D) The fact that King Alfred occupied and fortified London in 886, it did not mean that he (E) Just because King Alfred had occupied and fortified London in 886, it did not mean he
  2. For 1, only c follows parallelism rule.... use of ...... avoidance of.... and reduction of.... it might be awkward but the only c follows parallelism rule .. not sure why e is OA

  4. in the option c, "have been" indicates that the words are still getting added.. (which i guess is not the case).. so can someone explain me why C is correct?
  5. OA is E Can someone help me out here why A is ruled out.. ?
  6. Can someone explain me why A is incorrect? Pollutants are non countable now, so the option narrow downs to A/c/E. C is ruled out as pollutants are compared to gasoline or diesel fuel. For me it sounds strange "those burning gasoline", i feel "that burning of gasoline" sounds much better.
  7. Source of the question is DS 1000-(1K series), Section 2 question 3....
  8. Can some one please explain why D is OA? Or should i assume that there is a mistake in OA?
  9. Hi The question is "what was the price per gallon for the fuel if the taxes are excluded?" But nowhere in the question it is mentioned that there are only two taxes... What if there is another tax which is not mentioned in the statement? I think it should be E as question never said that there are only two taxes....
  10. what if line l1 is in X axis, l2 is in Y axis and l3 is in Z axis? In this case, l1 is perpendicular to l3. So answer should be E. Am i missing something here?
  11. Hi Though there might not be such theory but we are looking for the grammatical mistake in the sentence. Grammatically, it still sounds correct to me. Can someone please point out any other mistakes in the sentence?
  12. for the Question 25: Can some one explain me why choice A is incorrect? Is it because theory of is an incorrect idiom? Thanks in advance

Hi I am preparing for GMAT and am not going to join any course for that. I am relying on this forum for my queries to get resolved. Forum looks great as such (quality wise in terms of questions and its solutions) BTW, I am from delhi (India),
